I can already see a difference that having a proper goalkeeping coach makes. All the players have had a year of having tried and tested methods instilled in them by Bielsa, get knocked out of them. In my opinion Meslier will thrive under proper coaching methods as well as having some competition. That goes for the whole team too
Let’s hope you’re right Heidi, assuming he stays… There’s a school of thought that he’s only playing to keep him in the shop window (who knows!). Different coaches with different styles may have been unsettling but Meslier did though, have continuity with the same goalkeeping coach all his time here - until Abad left. Abad is now at West Brom (presumably corboran liked him) who’s keeper predictably made some blinders against us
I felt he was the next one to be sold by Radz hence Meslier’s comments about another club. I was right about them forcing Harrison out last season but then he’s still gone so who knows. We’ll know soon enough.
Heard yesterday Bayern Munich were in the hunt for him, but he was hawked to Man City and Chelsea last week and seems no takers. Klaessen will be a good back up for Darlow if we can sell Mes
Perhaps a French club will come for him. The trouble is not that many have the daft amount we would ask.
Do you believe we’re trying to offload him though, surely Darlow would be Farkes first choice if this was the case. As for putting him in the shop window, Farke certainly doesn’t seem the type who’d not pick his favoured starting 11 and although he’s not ruined himself in that window, he’s certainly not improved it either
