What stopped the formation of the proposed ESL the fans that's who it will be the fans who stop this taking the knee rubbish
No Llorente on Sunday, no Koch, no Meslier, no Klich but Berardi and Pablo start so this could be tougher than it should beas well as having Kiko in goal.
I hope they do boo personally. I'm sick of it, it's nothing to do with football, it's outdone it's purpose, it's actually racist to whites IMO and you should be asking players not to do a political Black Panther salute, rather tham condem supporters for showing their objections. Also if supporters do boo, they aren't booing because they hate blacks or any other ethnic group, they are booing because the gesture of kneeling is in support of groups who are anti white, anti British and who vandalise war memorials to the dead. But Foolee you are entitled to your opinion, we just differ a bit on this....
That's fair enough and I see where you are coming from but I think if fans boo it won't be seen by the players or management team as a good thing. I don't think the players that believe in doing the knee and hand gesture are doing so for an ulterior motive, I believe they are doing so to stand up against the fight against racism. There are much better ways to support that fight and raise awareness. I think it should've been done in a different way, I agree that it has run its course and shouldn't be taken into next season. I believe that it is already been suggested that the knee will be taken until the end of the season so I am unsure if fans booing against the knee will stop something that is already going to be stopped next season but instead just alienate Leeds United players, great season and great occasion of fans being reunited with Elland Road for the first time since promotion.
It's been turned into a political stance, the founders of BLM are Marxist and have admitted as such, and the raising of the fist is just another dimension to it signalling black power.....turn it round and wait for the squealing....sorry rasicm won't be stopped from either side....and both sides do it like it or not.
Thanks Shako, my sentiments exactly, you saved me commenting, i will say this though, there is more racism to the honkey man in this country than any other group
Nice article on Pablo. https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co...ed-legacy-was-already-ring-fenced-3246343?amp He truly has been an inspiration to the players at the club. His influence has to be at least on a level par with Strachan.
Sorry, Emu, but Strachan played on after promotion & did some of his best work at the top level. Technically, Pablo has played with us in the PL, but can you honestly say that his impact in the PL compares to that of Strachan? Absolutely not, imo. Pablo is a club legend, & always will be, but it's only based on his work in the Championship.
I’d have to go a step further and say Pablo is not and never will be a legend in my eyes. Great Championship player but not a legend and for me personally Strachan was twice the player and influence of Pablo.
He was a major contributor to ending 16 years of hurt. For me, he will always be a legend for that, as well as all of the rest of that squad.
Even Pontus I have a soft spot because he was the first real CB we have had for years. Think he actually improved Cooper and in the background we saw some CBs coming through at the Academy like Diaz, Halme, Struijk, Casey and Cresswell. Cannot have been an accident. Pontus just ended up with the wrong attitude and wishes he had sorted it, because he says he thanks Bielsa...
We'll match day is here. On my way to ER even though I don't have a ticket. Gonna meet some good mates and have a day on the beer. I've missed this so much even though I'm not going into the ground. I just want to hear that roar again and get those hairs in my arms and neck going. Sore head tomorrow but it will be all worth it. MOT !
