Ristac I wasn't putting Cellino up against Rad I said the Cellino Model as opposed to Rads Model players before stadium. players coming and going happens everywhere I was just stating that PERSONALLY I would prefer MODEL 1 team first stadium 2nd buying back the stadium is a no brainer but build the team first
Rads thought he was doing both, he didn’t spend the amount he has on players and expect to be outside the top 6. I agree you can’t prevent players wanting to leave, it’s what you do with the proceeds. Previous owners put chunks in their pockets, Rads handed it over to Orta, that was his mistake to hopefully learn. IF Rads had spent big on the infrastructure and nothing on players I’d agree with you but he spent on both. Cellino stripped the infrastructure sold the likes of Ross, Byram and Cooke and didn’t put half back into the playing squad, a bunch of two bit loans most the time
But the most likely outcome is Rad stays, Orta stays the model stays the same and the player farm is as ineptly run as the first team and we continue to slide. The happy clappy hypothetical stuff about infrastructure and yoof is bollocks. The first team is the only priority until that’s at least challenging at the top of this league. Get promoted and sorting all the other none important stuff is easier.
