Let's see after today wakey. Our first home match against an average PL team gives us the opportunity to take the 3 points and climb the table. Certainly won't be easy though, but if we play like we did against Everton and West Ham that hopefully will be good enough.
Wakey Koch is a German International who plays at CB or DM and not many players get to play for Germany unless they are very good. So I think you are being harsh as the kid needs to learn Bielsaball just like everyone else. His problem is he missed most of last season injured and still out injured. Llorente Spanish International, Rodrigo Spanish International.
Agree. The only positive that can be taken from the games so far is that we are still creating chances and good ones. The problem is that these chances are going begging largely down to Bamford reverting to Championship Bamford, Rodrigo making bad decisions in front of goal and Klich trying to finesse his shots instead of smashing the ball in. I remember Sheff U last season and they weren't having hardly any shots at goal. We are different. We seem to be involved in a lot of 50/50 games and we aren't getting the rub of the green so far. I fully expect us to have more possession, shots, corners, etc than Watford and should win the game. If we get outplayed today then I will have to accept that we are truly in the **** this season. Ultimately you are right though. The forwards need to start converting their chances or get out of the club. Although he shut me up last season I fear that Bamfords form has deserted him this season and he has reverted to the player that frustrated us in the Championship. I hope I am wrong.
K Koch german waste of money signing. Could be a permanent sick note unable to keep fit. Now here is a thought if bielsa goes end of season will we not see as many injuries under a new guy. We have players who look burned out after pre season and we looked awful in those games. So for me it's bottom three due to lack of new players. For the money spent Rodrigo is a huge let down. No way is he worth half that amount. I like him but after all these years he still is not clinical.
I wanted another striker brought in last season and i was not alone either. Rads must have been truly happy watching his shares in the club triple while Bielsa plodded on with a thin cheap squad. Trouble is this will bite him on the ass this season. Speculate to accumulate they do say and in this league it is a must.
Leicester had a player of quality in Jamie vardy fire them up the league past few seasons. We have Bamford.. Says it all really.
Good morning all I get what your all saying, and it is a worry at the moment. However even I must admit I was expecting us to improve on last season, but were totally thumped by manure & Liverpool, at least we gave them a game last season, and like last season, should have beaten both Burnley & Newcastle, so imo either the other teams have strengthened, or we have become weaker, either way and I thought I wouldn’t feel like this under Bielsa, I am now worried till at least we chalk up a few wins, starting this afternoon, so we all might feel a little less stressed.
Think we’re all worried but to start the burnout bollox again is going way too far. Check the stats for the facts and they show we still run further, faster and for longer than any other team. Not fkg burnout then is it ffs. Its having half the team out injured and only one or two playing to form.
After six fixtures last season, Sheffield U were bottom of both the shots and shots on target tables. They were creating very little but still defending well. Their problem was the chances created % was never going to improve because of quality of their strikers. We currently sit 6th & 7th respectively. So we’re creating plenty but defending poorly. Get our best defenders on the pitch regularly and we’ll be fine.
FFS peeps, why all the wrist-cutting? And why all the 'must win' nonsense. Keep beating that drum & we'll follow the Blades - route 1 to the Championship. We've played 6 games & the doom-mongers have got a hard-on already. Deriding the team constantly is not supporting them. Constructive criticism is always acceptable, but I see everything but constructive criticism here. Me? I'm going to the match, torrential rain & all, & am going to enjoy supporting my team - win, lose, or draw. Some of you should try it sometime. Six feckin games played! 32 to follow. And panic has clearly set in. Wouldn't like to be doing a shift at the Samaritans tonight if we don't win. All these suicidal 'experts' who can't understand that it's the opposition's job to beat us, as well as ours to beat them. That's football. If we get relegated, I'll be devastated like anyone else, but at least I'll have taken my enjoyment when it's on offer in what might well be our last year in the PL for a while. L8ters.
