Leeds Utd v Tottenham Hotspur

Leeds United will put their unbeaten home record on the line when they host Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off, though history offers little encouragement for Daniel Farke’s side. Leeds have lost nine of their last 11 league meetings with Spurs, including each of the previous four, and early starts have not been kind either — they haven’t won a Premier League fixture kicking off before 3pm since a resounding victory over Chelsea back in August 2022.

To compound matters, Farke must contend with a growing injury list. Dan James faces up to six weeks out after rolling his ankle in training, while Wilfried Gnonto is sidelined with a calf problem. Lucas Perri has returned to training but won’t be fit in time. Stalwart defender Joe Rodon faces his former club for the first time since joining the Whites (initially on loan just over two years ago). Harry Gray remains a doubt with a hip flexor issue.

His brother Archie could feature for Spurs in what will be an emotional return to Elland Road. He has only started once this season, on the opening day of the season, but surely Thomas Frank will give him a few minutes on his old stamping ground. Key striker Dominic Solanke remains unavailable following ankle surgery, while summer signing Randal Kolo Muani is edging closer to his debut but not yet ready to feature.

After a strong start, Spurs have stuttered. They have only won one in four, drawing back to back games against Brighton and Wolves. Despite this, Thomas Franks side still carry significant firepower, and Leeds will need both resilience and organised to protect their strong home form against one of their toughest historical opponents.

So important to get a positive result here. Hate the two week international break but especially if we've lost the previous game. Leaves far more time to over analyse and scrutinise the game. A nice 1-0 win please, late pens and we can all enjoy the next two weeks looking down at the likes of scum and villa below us

Spurs have been a bit jekyll and hide performance wise, but their better performances this season have been away from home. Hopefully with midweek trip to norway, they have a bit of a hangover, but in reality they have had plenty of recovery time. Tough game obviously, hopefully we can get at them and rattle them a bit.

Trains struggling with the weather. Keep refreshing the screen and tickets randomly come up. I cant get there at this point but you can get the odd ticket today.

We need to start winning home games. This one is another winnable one.

We don't want a season of undeserved lost points and unlucky goals. Its about time we started beating teams like Spurs. They finished near the bottom last season, struggled against Wolves last week and played away in Europe midweek.

We need the 3 points.
