Of the 14 that played yesterday, only 4 were new signings this season. I'll leave it at that for now .....
Agreed but we did have Wood at the start of the season and I did say "at the start" . Taylor was always going to leave but I was happy with Berardi at LB - I felt we needed to secure the signing or Bartley and Pontus, that should have been the number one target and then I assumed as many did, Wood remaining. Someone in my opinion, has made a major error in Wood. He should have either been sold preseason or told no offers will be considered, you are staying. You just cannot plan a season ahead around a 20-30 goal a season player then let him leave two games in. I haven't a problem with him wanting away or being sold but it should have been done much sooner. I felt Bartley and two quality midfield players were required and that would have been my quality three. Then a new reserve striker and if funds permitted a better keeper than Green/Silvestre. I personally would not have retained Sacko or Hernandez, I think if we had kept Wood (or should I say Wood had wanted to stay) and signed Bartley, throw Saiz in there and we wouldn't have been far off. At the end of the day, we are still in a promotion play off spot, we really are not a million miles away.
Our direction of travel is downwards, thats both in the short term. Last five games and in this calendar year as a whole. You are choosung to inckude the first games of this season which saw usplay the worst sides in the division. We will lse more thN we win till christmas IMO.
Just back from walking along Ilkley Moor and having lunch at the cow and calf. Very good. Obvioulsy on the mend as couldnt have done either a month ago. PS I was hatless!
They probably came on here and read Glory's posts Can be the only explanation as to why a team who were top of the league only a few weeks ago now have zero confidence
I would assume they are watching videos of how TC has them playing... Clearly TC cant polish some of the turds Orta has lumbered him and us with.
