Feels like a loss so a bit depressing already. Pointless kicking off as its only first game, but the big take aways for me was Meslier isnt good enough. Gruev corners very poor and flat. Georgey needs to find a way of beating doubke marking maybe pop it off and move for a return rather than lose the ball. Joseph was great and should have carried on, we took both wingers off but didn’t change tactics? Chuffed for Aaronson who went from zero to hero and then almost zero again. He worked, battled and scored and all in 20 minutes, so promising for him. Piroe came on apparently Cup game coming so hope to see a few changes to the starting line up and start to see some cohesion. Darlow, Wober, Aaronson, Gelhardt at 10 and barndoor at 9 to give him a run but I would leave Joseph to start next league game

I’m happy to admit I was wrong last season, Ipswich never fell away as expected, they deserved promotion in the end, your depth was poor. I remember a few of your forum members moaning about depth just a few weeks after you’d claimed otherwise. You probably never watched our match, if you did you’d know we’re good this season, we hit the post three times in 6 minutes. Like I said I’ve always stood up for him except on penalties as he’s clueless On them but I’m struggling to defend him anymore Unfortunately Ristac there seems to be zero willingness from the club to replace him except a couple of half arsed cheap attempts. Hindsight is great but I’d have taken a CB off and dropped Ampadu back bringing on another striker and going 4-1-3–2
