Good game. Honestly after the first ten minutes I thought it was going to be a very long day, so I'm happy with a point, even if it could have been all three (or none!). At least we've shown we can complete with the promotion chasers.

It was typical us. Hopefully it’ll make people realise it’s not gonna be easy. It never ever is for us. Just wish it had been the away fixture.

 

Meslier turned the tide, we hit the woodwork three times in the first 10 minutes, cruising along at 1-0 and he then gifts them a goal.

We looked a different class until then. To concede three at home to Portsmouth is terrible. If we get anything less than a win against WBA (which will be hard) then Farke is in early trouble.

On another note, I hope we sent them a few shirts, they obviously liked them the entire game

 

I honestly think he is a league 2 goalkeeper at best. I’m amazed we haven’t upgraded by now.

 

Because you won’t get a top class keeper for pennies. At present no evidence to suggest we’ve anything more for team strengthening

 

Not sure we need top class, maybe one that can save the odd shot on target, when we go on a good defensive run it’s because we keep the opposition well away from goal. I don’t know who’s coaching him but he doesn’t seem to be improving on anything.

 

I used to try defend him but am too losing patience

 

Meslier is becoming a real worry. A traffic cone would have a better chance of saving a penalty

 

Getting rid of Klaesson was a big mistake IMO

 

Being kept out of the squad of the Polish club he joined by a 20 year old, who started all 4 games so far this season and a 39 year old on the bench

 

Wonder what kiko is up to these days

 

I always end up thinking that numerous coaches, with the exception of Alladyce, have kept faith with him so he is either showing more in training that I’m not seeing on match days or our reserve keepers are woeful. Either way you score three at home you should win.

 

He's without a club, so probably within our budget for new signings
