What happened to team captains telling their own players off for letting the side down.cooper got booked and he is captain.need to cut this crap out it will cost us.top six by xmas is getting near as i hoped.we are not top two im afraid we dont have a striker to speak of.

Maybe we’re going to try something original and play the season without a striker. The feckers are all overpaid anyway and get big heads

You could be onto something, don’t Spain play without a striker these days?

Don’t know but we could have six in midfield. Bodies zipping all over the gaff. Opposition wouldn’t have a clue how to play us. Wouldn’t even matter if we had someone sent off or on a bad day, still loads left to chip in

That's been my take on it as well and also why I do get annoyed about the grief Grot's getting - if PML and Ekuban were fit had been fit then he'd be nowhere near the team and would be allowed to develop. He's there out of necessity at the moment and the last thing we should do is destroy his confidence at 19. Hope Seabiscuit is going nowhere in January as would love to see a game with Lasogga on the end of the crosses he's been delivering.

Thanks for that, dbc. Clears it up for me. Typically, though, it wouldn't play the first coming together. Got a spinny circle instead. Every time (about 10!). Watched in step by step, but not the same, I guess. Made it clear enough to me that Pontus didn't deserve a yellow. I wouldn't have argued if Oliveira got 2 yellows - one for simulation, and the other for going at Pontus in an aggressive manner (tbh, step by step view might make it look more serious than it was).

But I still don't know why Cooper got a yellow. If he had fouled, why was the game not stopped to give him it? I can only assume the advantage rule was used, but Oliveira didny seem to have an advantage as far as I can see. Perhaps it was a good bit earlier, but even then, I should, and usually would, have seen it. Can't understand how I missed it. Like cheering our crunchy tackles :D

I didn’t go so only know what I’ve read plus watched 15 minutes lutv highlights. But, not letting that hold me back, I said after QPR that my view was Roofe was better as an impact sub and for home games especially you need a big target man.

Tend to think after Saturday that might be the case. In which case Lasogga is all we have, at moment. Anyone think Roofe can make it?

Regarding Jay Roy and a possible loan, quote from a Leedsnow article:

"He cannot move to another club in next month's transfer window as he made one appearance for NEC before his move to England; FIFA rules prohibit playing for three clubs in a single season."

    Sounds cut and dried. :emoticon-0120-doh:
