Won't be many of their fans Saturday then, but if they've given us extra tickets I'm sure our fans would oblige Millwall in filling half their stadium for them....
Great to see so many positive thoughts and feelings about the current team and club as a whole. The competition and togetherness of those not in the first XI is great as long as they are given time. In terms of selection, I think we need to ensure we can keep up the energy, priority must be for the weekend. However keen to keep up the results, a major mistake last year in the FA cup was the team selected to play sutton. I think putting out a terrible team was a massive confidence drain not just on the squad but also the fans, it is well known and demonstrated last night that the 12th man is important (go back a year and had 12,000 more fans last night than the corresponding fixture vs Blackburn). You could sense a drop in confidence in all areas at the end of January echoed by Monk's communication in getting a centre back and centre forward but ending up with two weak wingers. Its no coincidence that the current culture and consistent messaging from the board, management and players helps breed a togetherness now extending to the fan base. I would pick the core of the first X1 for burnley to demonstrate how far we have come and put some fear in the league to playing Leeds, Having an opposition mentally thinking about our dangers rather than getting the win will see us role over teams if we get the 1st goal and set up to defend our talent. The speed of counter attack through Saiz, Alioski et al will be huge. I think the signing of the Japanese player in January could be commercially beneficial but not sure if we need another central midfielder (unless he is another Siaz type). Secondly if we are on course, in the top 2 and Lasogga is playing well, we should turn his deal into a full transfer or a clause based on promotion to do this at the end of the season. I have endured my son since birth in being a Leeds fan, he has occasionally embraced it but generally hidden it (Wimbledon based) until recently. The other day we played fifa 2014 and looking at that team vs the one we have now is a eye opener. (see below). Would any of the below at their peak make this team? I would say only Warnock/McCormack (thought about Austin but not technically good enough)
you have terrible support at our place you have half a stand and for Saturday 3pm no restrictions awful woeful at best no bottle
From what i've seen the couple of times i've been down there, you lot will take whatever you can get They're ladies allegedly
To be honest mighty, despite everyone taking the piz out of you lot, and your team, I think you'll give us a good game, I don't believe you'll win, but I think you'll give us a good game, unless you crumble after our first goal of course. Is Morison on score sheet yet? You seem to be slowly getting better, but relinquishing a 2-0 lead to QPR was a bit of a let down, mind you, 14 shots with 5 on target and 2 goals ain't nothing to be sniffed at, problem is, we have our defence, very hard to crack.......
... and still managed to lose one of them. Grieves me to say it, but the wall have been a bit unlucky in a few games. Performances haven't been bad. Will be a tough game sat and it's not an easy place to get a result.
Simon I dont think MacGreedy would get in even at his best, and simply because he has never repeated it so deffo cannot play at a higher level, he had a golden year end of. Wood has scored 2 in 2 in the prem so that makes him better. However Wood wouldnt make this team in a month or so, I know it sounds stupid, but I really dont think Wood is good enough for the style of play the team theive on. An unfit Lassoga is a damn site more mobile & leads the line as well as linking play. Lassoga is from a higher level so thats my benchmark
we will beat you mukka we are playing great footy Wolves beat us 1 goal we had 10 men and QPR scored 2 against us when we had 10 men for whole of second half we tore Norwich apart could have scored 8, I expect nothing but the win against you lot and expect at least 4 goals
Think every game going to be close to sell outs,if we keep the form up.like you say tues night, horrible night, would have been 20,000 last season.
I had a precognition of the headlines after this game last week, it said; 'Greggers does Dallas' which i take meant that Gregory takes the piss out of Dallas whilst scoring a few goals, however due to last nights ****er of a ref sending him off for winning a 50/50 ball this is now in doubt if his appeal doesn't win, as the EFL/FA love to **** us over at every turn i'll change it too 'Freddie does Dallas' 3-1 too Millwall
I said on another thread Millwall would break QPR's and Leeds' 100% home and away records and still believe it, QPR got lucky with the ref so earned a draw in the end but still lost their record. We always raise our game at home to Leeds and the fact you are top and unbeaten as well means we will press and put you on the backfoot from the very beginning.
Jeez Mighty, you're starting to sound like a phantom pregnancy, expect, expect, expect, but nothing happens.....
I'm new on here so please bear with me. Who are Milwall. I've been on their board but it's like a desert. Are they a football team, do they have any supporters, or is it really fantasy.?
11 v 11 at QPR we could and maybe should have been 3 goals up at H-T sending Greggs off just before half time was a big factor yet we still scored a second
