Not if you play half of them out of position.

game is gagging for a goal. nobody is standing out from us. plenty simple passing which is giving us the possession percentage but we really aren't hurting them a debut for their keeper and we haven't tested him. Boro look decent on the counter but other than that they been shyte aswell. a few players just not getting into the game for us.

Okay I used a bit of poetic license but Gelhardt, Piroe, Aaronson (possibly, I don’t really know what position he’s meant to play). TBH, I’m not really sure what formation we’re meant to be playing.

Thank fk we have a strong bench because that was torture.
Emu will be pleased, Firpo was ****. I thought Aaronsson looked lively. Both Piroe and Joffy hold on to the ball too long. Rothwell's corners were good but his free kicks were poor. Defence has worried me whenever Boro came at us. Darlow has done all he's needed to do well enough.
they have been poor too so game on

Ah I get what you mean. I actually don’t think any of those 3 actually have positions they’re best at if that makes sense? Apart from maybe Piroe who should play behind a striker in a 2 up front but he’s been a donkey.

Funny how we see things. I thought Aaronson still looks a lightweight and sent some dodgy balls back to the defenders. I thought Wober looked good in defence and has covered Firpo’s arse on more than one occasion. Gelhardt looks shagged already and still no one is prepared to have a shot at goal. Delighted to see our goalkeeper actually save something but all saves that should have been made. All in all a pretty poor game.

Best i can say about that half was it was underwhelming. A blood transfusion is needed, along with a steel toecap boot up the Jacksy, fingers crossed for the second half

Early days this season but fk me it’s like last season. Farkeball is great possession but leaves holes at the back and they could have scored 2 already. Our players are back doing tippy tappy with not much penetration. No crosses, no shots. What happened to the way we played a couple of weeks ago when we did cross and shoot. Farke is going to be sacked in the not too distant future unless he sorts this out. Positives are the keeper who looks much better than Meslier, Gelhardt playing on the wing looks lively, Aaronson playing really well but take Bamford off ffs and move Piroe up top because he ain’t a 10. Byram is past it, Wober looks ok, Firpo left exposed as usual when pushing up and we lose the ball..

    . Where is our midfield?

Aaronson has looked good in attack, the others are trying too hard to prove a point that they should be included, definitely holding on to the ball far too long.

When we press we go all in and if it fails, we’ve left a huge gap. When they press, it’s more preventing the pass out, pinning us back just allowing us to pass it across the back line.

Painful first half, Farke football is getting worse to watch

Been quite impressed with Aaronson. But overall we have been disappointing - so much possession for so little attacking threat. Our defence looks brittle too. I know it's not the first team, but with the players who are out there I expected better. I kept forgetting that Gelhardt was on the pitch until he got an occasional mention. Same with Piroe. Given Piroe's scoring record prior to signing for us, why is he not more effective?

Wober and Darlow both did well in the first half. Wober made a good interception start of the 2nd too.
