I didn't recognise Gruev. I just saw him and thought who the fook was that...

 

Brilliant performance but all clubs watching that now know that the only way to beat us is to set up like Sunderland.

 

That was alright I suppose.

 

Really good composed performance from the boys. Snuffed them out completely, controlled the game and always a threat.

 

Meslier - 5. No shots to face but still managed to look dodgy with his distribution giving Ipswich chances to attack.

Gray - 8. Excellent performance. He's still not a right back but he's just good enough as a player to make it work.

Rodon - 9. Won everything. Stepped in when needed and brought the ball out of defence too.

Struijk - 9. Got another goal and was superb all game. The partnership between him and Rodon looks solid.

Spence - 8. Starting to look a real threat going forward whilst looking solid at the back. He'd be even more dangerous on the right.

Ampadu - 9. Always there to mop up when Ipswich tried to play forward. His match awareness is premier league class.

Kamara - 8. Kept things ticking over and battled hard. Not quite the Leicester performance but a step in the right direction after a few poor showings.

Piroe - 8. Maybe his best performance for Leeds. Found that space between the Ipswich defence and midfield and created lots. Great workrate too and a world class finish for his goal.

James - 7. Didn't quite happen for him today but his direct running and workrate certainly put Leif Davis back in his box for the afternoon.

Summerville - 9. Unplayable at times. MOTM for me. Scored a wonderful pen after winning it. Set up Leif Davis for his goal too. Was a constant thorn in Ipswich side.

Rutter - 9. Much much better from Georginio. Held the ball up and created chances all afternoon.

Gnonto - 6. Initially did well but performance tailed off.

Gruev - 7. Best showing yet. Kept things nice and simple.

Firpo - 4. ****e.

Bamford - 4. ****e.

Joseph - 6. Lots of energy but needs to calm it down.

Leif Davis - 9. His best game for Leeds by a long way.

 

So much more enjoyable than that pl rubbish. Brilliant performance

Great result, was a bit behind watching it on Sky. I’m popping over to the Ipswich board now for a smile, Christmas has come early and I did say Norwich could be the catalyst for Ipswich to come undone
