Just seen motd and no one wanted to get tight and block. Gave them way too much roim to shoot and meslier was made to look bad. Until the fans are let back in and urge the lads on i think we will see lots of games like this.

 

... I think it’s high pressing sides that disrupt our building out from the back (happened last year at times, better sides doing it this year) and force errors - maybe we’re not up to full sharpness yet too.

flip side is that when we don’t dominate possession we get more room to play on the counter which is where our chances and goals are coming from instead of having to break down 10 man defences all day. So fewer chances but better ones... so far

 

Definitely not up to full sharpness yet, Bamford said so in interview yesterday. Only two preseason games and disrupted/short preseason. Also, there’s still teams who haven’t played a match yet, bloody stupid league if you ask me..

 

Exactly how I saw it as well, I think Emus have suspect eyesight, might be something to do with where Rod Hulls got his hand.

You're missing my point completely. Koch made a stupid decision to go to ground from about 3 or 4 yards away. Once you do that you are out of control. As he slid uncontrollably towards Bryan and the ball he realised that he had ****ed up so tried to pull out of the tackle. He couldn't stop because he was out of control sliding on his backside. Bryan left his leg hanging, felt the slight contact and went down. The fault does not lie with Bryan or the referee. The fault lies with Koch who made a stupid decision to go to ground. If he doesn't go to ground, Bryan can't leave his leg there and the ref doesn't have a decision to make. We get a goal kick and the game moves on.

Koch is at fault. He's been at fault for a few key chances and goals. He needs to improve as he is costing us goals every match so far. That's not acceptable. He knows that, the coaches know that, I don't see the point in defending him purely because he is new and wears a white shirt.

 

Amazing that he's a German International.

 

Again, I'm not saying he is ****. Just that giving a goal away a game and not defending crosses properly isn't acceptable. He has to improve on his two performances. I didn't think stating the obvious would upset so many.

 

Upset, losing a child is upset, not some pampered footballer who made a mistake. Not at all Emu. I just think that these are soft penos and if VAR can't clear these decisions up, then I'd rather not use the technology. I think the player who cheated should be the one vilified.

 

Yeah but the one against Scum yesterday was hilarious.

Well worth a watch. The one that went against Koch vs Liverpool has nothing on the one yesterday given against Scum. De Gaea saved the penalty but had to be retaken because VAR spotted him an inch off his line. Palace scored the retake.

Koch's tackle was schoolboy stuff. No need for it to be last ditch as he could cut out a cross and at worst concede a corner. If he'd way off the guy, he'd have danced around a prone Koch and had a short-range shot. Fulham's last was poor too - keeper could have come for that.
