The penalty count this season is going to be massive. Scumchester just had one given against them which was a joke. VAR wasnt used in the 2 Koch penalties which is also a joke. Lineker has tweeted that tonight on MOtD will be interesting as VAR should have been used instead of going on a coffee break.

He manages to get his bonce onto the ball when attacking our corners, so it’s got to be within his gift to do the same when he’s defending theirs too. Maybe it’s his starting position that needs the work when he’s defending?

What’s the point of having it if it’s not going to be used?

Once the ref gives the penalty then VAR has to have conclusive evidence to change that decision.

He tried to pull out of the tackle but still caught the lads leg so made contact. It makes it incredibly difficult to overturn that decision however harsh that may be.

I thought it was as much of a penalty as Bamfords to be fair. That was minimal too.

Exactly. He looks capable. I think he just needs to be a bit more aggressive when teams try and block him. I'm sure the staff can sort it out looking back at replays.

Commentary on BT said that they did run a check on both penalties today.

When Joe Bryan saw that Koch pulled out of the tackle he stuck out his leg to the right to catch Koch. And the ref fell for it:emoticon-0148-yes: The Bamford pen was a push in the back, a soft push but still a push:emoticon-0148-yes:

West Ham have had 2 incidents tonight that would have been pens but weren't.
Bowen goes over in the box and there is contact, although minimal, but the most fkn annoying one was the Gabriel hand ball. How was Koch's hand ball but that isn't?
    No consistency

You can't teach a player to be aggressive. He either has it or not. So we have signed a soft bastard oh great.

He’s a better centre back than England’s finest, Square Head Maguire.

Well just finished watching Motd and have just got out from behind the sofa as couldn't watch anymore at 4-3, if this is what to expect for the rest of the season, then i won't be here next, i have a dodgy ticker you know. :emoticon-0107-sweat
    Good evening everyone
great to have the three points though. For what it's worth i thought it was a penalty the guy just outsmarted Koch, but he will learn from these mistakes, and in my opinion will become a very good player for us.

Meslier... I’m feeling more than ever that he should be number two behind a new Keeper. Shots on target 12 conceded 7 at least three were definitely poor keeping.

I didn’t think Kalvin was great, wasn’t strong enough in the tackle for their 2nd. We don’t seem to keep the ball as well as we did in the championship either and I think that’s where we need a Pablo replacement. Rodrigo and Roberts both looked lost there. Hopefully Pablo will be fit for next week and we get De Paul or someone similar in.
