So Koch was rubbish, was he? That's the impression I'm getting reading this pish. 4/10???? He made one silly mistake. One. (And I believe doubt is now being cast on tv as to whether it was a penalty at all). Just one mistake. That's all. So why does that mean he had a bad game? I'd love some examples. The Koch I watched (mostly) kept that brute Mitrovich's gas at a peep.
Problem with it Doc is that he dived in. He was never getting there and that's proven by the way he nearly missed the guy completely. The problem is that he gave the ref a decision to make. If he stays on his feet then the Fulham guy runs the ball out of play and it's a goal kick. By diving in and the player hanging a leg there it gives the ref a decision to make. That's my problem with it. He has to be smarter than that.
I’ve not a problem with the ref making a swift decision. My problem was it went to VAR and the VAR ref with TV replays decided it was a penalty despite no contact
Yes he was ****e. He let his man go twice on corners and gave the ref a decision to make after going to ground recklessly. He was sound on the ball and can improve. It's not the end for him but he has to improve if he is to become a success here.
I'm not saying he can't make it. I'm just saying in two games he has been sound on the ball but has given two penalties away (first one unlucky) and lost his man 4 times when defending corners. Van Dijk twice (one was a goal, the other was chalked off) and lost the big centre half for Fulham twice (three times if you count the one where he got back and managed to get a knock off his head after being left for dead). He has to get used to the physical game of the PL otherwise we will continue to suffer as a team. He looks big enough, just need a bit more aggression but controlled.
Not really, he gave VAR a decision to make and the worry is 2/2 they got 100% wrong. If VAR weren't cheats/blind would we be saying what a great start he's had.
They should have to explain how they can't watch a replay and get it right, if they can't do that, should be sacked.
