Only thing I liked that he said was along the lines of delegating and trusting the management team. I'm hoping that means Monk / Clotet choose the targets and two owners sort the finances. Other positive I'll take is, hopefully it means no more wild erratic decisions by Cellino.
Good points. Still falls a long way short of some of the over the top stuff when original half buyout was announced. In fairness he couldn't have picked a better time to get involved as no one will really care whether we strengthen squad or not as long as we're playing as we are
Like you, I've know idea how this pans out, and to be honest already had enough of his publicity. I prefer my owners to be of the quiet, stay in the background and support the manager variety but I guess those days are over. I just hope they realise this is now a serious opportunity (one we've not had for years) for promotion and support Monk in anyway he wants (within what we can afford and either or both don't **** it up to satisfy their egos.
James Milner is buzzing after Leeds went up to third in the league last night: https://vine.co/v/OXJwb5AjU5U
They're definitely a good team, but in my opinion have been getting all the breaks and some good luck, they even had some today with another penalty awarded to them but they missed it, I still think the Geordies will win the league but, 2nd place is well up for grabs for a few clubs
I do not think winning the championship is beyond reach if the momentum is maintained. See where we are in four weeks time.
I think 2nd place is more realistic, Brighton play Newcastle at the end of the month and we play them at home..
