With a week's training and an opportunity to see where they might best fit in, I see our two newbies being given an opportunity to show what they can deliver. At home and with a very noisy crowd behind them, I would think we should be too strong for Cardiff. Let's hope so
Warnock will set up for the draw and try to bore you all do death, which nearly worked when we played Brighton, who are a far better team than you. I think it will be a one niller either way. Cannot see you doing the double over us.....its unheard of.
Don't think we're under any illusions about what Colin will do, if he ever laid out a table of footballing treats, paddy kenny ate them all. Brighton a much better side than us? Guess the table doesn't lie, but I'm not sure the gap is all that.
We may be pleasantly surprised and try and play for the win. I can't see it though. We havent been prolific infront of goal at all this season, as BfB said above Kenneth Zohore has brought us an emergence of pace and power up there but unfortunately with zero end product. Bamba has saved our bacon a bunch of times since joining, I really can't understand what went wrong for him at Leeds. We have a lot of work to do in the summer if we manage to stay up (which I think we will). I can't see anything past a Leeds win on Saturday though. 3-1 Leeds.
I think that's the difference. Colin has stopped all the 'Beckenbauer' stuff and just got him defending. He's a hell of a stopper when he keeps it simple.
In with the plebs on saturday.. back row of the kop.... We have had a few games where they have felt like must win games and if we managed it we would break away from the team in 7th and below. But everyone is picking up enough points to stay in touch so we are still in must win territory. I do think we have 0% chance of autos! Not enough quality in the squad and although our first team is decent everyone else isnt good enough to cover, we only have a plan A. A major injury to any of the main players and we would plummet down the table.
Evening. Not sure Monk will start with the new signings. It's a tricky one for him. Fans want to see them and are excited by the prospect of them but does he stay loyal to the group who got us 4th, there is the danger of upsetting the spirit created in the squad if you suddenly dump two of them. Either way it an important game to win, having lost two of the last three league game, we don't want to undo what has been a good season so far. Cardiff always makes me nervous, been a real bogey side in the past and an ex manager and player coming back (hopefully to **** up royally).
Can't see anything but a home win. City don't possess anyone with the quality to upset Leeds. Warnock will no doubt be up for it but so will that ex Jack Monk. Think the teams will be playing each other next season though.
We have the main man Vinnie Tan. No mate, not this season. It appears he lost faith in previous managers wasting his money on useless crap so has kept a tight clutch on his purse strings this season. It seems uncle Colin has persuaded him to part with some cash in the summer however, so fingers crossed.
Well don't expect Colin to bring in any quality, he'll get in all his old journeymen mates so he ca take 30% of their wages (allegedly)
Afternoon all. Think we'll win on Saturday because our bench will be too strong for Cardiff. I also think our crowd will help. On where we might finish this season, top 6 is now a given, as Monk won't tolerate anything less. As to whether we can finish top 2, we'll need a bit of luck, as well a the Team to raise their performance up a notch or three. We'll also need plenty of others to chip in with a goal or two. I'll give us odds of 6 or 7/1..
