I get that Doc, but why would these invest so heavily and still allow Cellino to piggy back on their success without similar investment. It just smacks of where we were with gfh last year only bigger sums involved
My worry or concerns are that between them all, they want a quick fix back to the PL then milk us for all it's worth. £170m for being in the PL I just hope they are not thinking £30m (insert a figure really) get into the PL and that is a nice £140m profit. I want back into the PL but I want us to be able to sustain it, not be a yoyo club like Norwich or QPR. Something doesn't make sense to me either. Not sure where I stand or what I want on this one. If Chinese are involved they are usually in it solely for the money...
Exactly right. That 170m or whatever is there for a reason, to build a pl quality team. Few of our current lot would be good enough so huge investment required just for survival. Example, Lewis Cook first name virtually on our team sheet weekly, hardly gets a game at Bournemouth
Any club going up is going to be a yoyo club, you need to accept that. Nobody will ever do what we did in the last year before sky ruined football now.
Maybe not competing but certainly not yoyo clubs. Id settle for us having a few seasons at 12th in the pl
Would rather yoyo down and back once and then have the cash to compete funancially unless we can attract a benefactor with enough wedge to turn us into a top six club from day one... Too many palace, soton, wba, everton and west hams.
Forget the yoyo plan. Blackpool, wigan, bolton and many more have tried it and are completely fecked. When we go up, we need to be staying permanently
If we are not competing in the top ten inside three years its pointless being there. In it to win it, or dont bother. A bit ahead of ourselves anyway, because we are only 9th in the second division as things stands.
