I didn't get the impression that Raph was uninterested. Not sure what I missed.

Agreed. James gets a lot of stick, but he seems to play for the badge. Brave header from a great ball from Joffy<ok>

Yeh, don’t think he ever lacks for effort. He was pretty average again, mind

Dallas and Klich looked so much better today, we need those two playing like that. Wasn’t our best form of last season with Dallas and Klich as CM’s? I think Dallas played RWB and CM today though.

That's what happens when players start to come back and we play a much better balanced team, not a vintage performance but no one can say there's not a great team spirit there.

Not for me…thought he was unlucky twice. First goal he was still regrouping from the first Save, 3rd was nearly a great save. At that distance it’s reflexes and luck.

Proud of the team for that performance! We were by far the better side and played some good stuff today, but also dug out a gutsy win after being pegged back from a free kick that should never have been awarded.

If Bamford had been playing I'm sure he would would have converted some of the chances that we missed today. Good performances from Forshaw and Dallas. Encouraging from Firpo too, who earlier in the season looked poor but now seems to be getting better with every game.

Three vital points and a win against a horrible team who play anti-football, and who I hope go down.

Whole defence were awesome. Special mentions for Koch who had Wood in his pocket all afternoon and forced him to be replaced. Yes he was shaky at the start but done a job. Firpo who loads seem to despise was also close to MoM and unlucky not to score. Joffy should have started and in a few minutes hes played has scored a goal and got 3 assists….. Dallas and Klich also good games

Just a thought on Raphinha, he was on 4 yellows, maybe he was told not to get too feisty?

Meslier - 6. Came early on for high balls which largely nullified Burnleys main threat. Poor wall positioning and why was he stood off his line? Very naive. He has learnt from all his previous mistakes so let's hope he has learnt from this one.

Ayling - 8. Won alot of his battles and was calm keeping possession. Had a positive impact attacking too. We missed his calming influence on the team. Unless I'm mistaken I think it was his cross for Roberts missed header first half. A leader.

Llorente - 8. Battled really well. Booking should be rescinded so he can play next game. Hope he appeals.

Koch - 9. So strong. Interceptions, headers, bringing the ball out. Looked like a better version of Ben White. All defenders were superb today.

Dallas - 7. A couple of moments where he looked back to some kind of form but still the odd brain fart. Great finish with his wrong foot. Better.

Firpo - 8. Was targeted first half but showed that he wasn't the weal link today and pushed Burnley back. Great first half, a bit quieter 2nd but Burnley mainly tried to go down the left.

Forshaw - 9. Harassed and bullied the Burnley lads all over the field. Did the dirty work and gave it easy. Man of the match.

Klich - 8. Excellent workrate. Ran intelligent lines to give our main attackers the space. Fantastic nutmeg to send Gelhardt away for the third. Also assist for Harrison.

Harrison - 7. Justified his place. Ran Lowton all over the place first half. As for Firpo, his side was quiet 2nd half.

Raphinha - 6. Still looks class but his form certainly dropped off recently. Some strange decisions from him today and 60 million move away looks a fair way off on that performance. Missed a sitter.

Roberts - 7. The way he kept the Burnley defenders guessing first half was excellent. He came short, spun in behind, left his foot in, held the ball up. Plenty of shots (sometimes right, often wrong) and missed an absolute sitter. Sound familiar? Mr Bamford anyone? Injured and suspended for next game.

    Subs.

Gelhardt - 7. Worked his socks off wrestling with the big lumps at the back and got little reward. Needlessly offside on one occasion. Very selfish a couple of times but showed that he will belong at this level by the sublime cross for James.

James - 7. Sloppy first 10 minutes. Settled and got in behind a couple of times. Squeaked his header over the line to get over the line. Hopefully more to come from him. Burnleys Cornet outshone him for the most part, almost like "look what you could have won!".

Just my opinion. I didnt say uninterested, but he lacked something and maybe he's thinking of a big move. I could be totally wrong. It was good to see the displays of some of the players who seem to get it in the neck from supporters the likes of James, Kilch, Dallas. <ok>

Remember we were playing 3 at the back today so an even more promising performance.
Burnley are a poor side apart from Charlie Taylor. I think them and Norwich are down with one other.
Hopefully any new signings won't have settled in at Newcastle when we play them.
Well clear of the relegation places and games in hand don't count at the bottom.

Just a final thought on today. Alot of people question Bielsaball. I've defended it. Today's problems were things we have had to deal with all season. Individual errors.

Roberts misses a sitter from 6 yards out.

Ref books Roberts for getting the ball and suspends him. (I know he was injured later).

Ref gives free kick wrong way, books Llorente and suspends him for next game.

From the free kick, Meslier sets the wall up wrong and stands away from his line. Cornet hits the perfect 30 yard free kick and we are unreservedly back level again.

Our Brazilian International misses an open goal to put us in front again.

These things have been happening all season and today it could have gone badly wrong. This has nothing to do with Bielsaball. It's Individual players making very basic errors. If we cut 50% of them out then we are probably 10th in the league right now.

This. Thought his attitude was OK. As his reputation grows he has to slightly adapt his game. He has to pick his moments when to go and when to pass and he is failing at the minute. He has the quality to overcome it though. Just need his brain cells to click in to gear.
