One would expect Bamba would get dropped to the bench, though to be fair Taylor was the only defender to leave the Amex Stadium with any kind of kudos. I would expect Coyle to start at right back in place of (escape goat) Wootton. Evans was not at all pleased with the rugby tackle Wootton committed, giving away the penalty which was the catalyst of the floodgates opening and hauled him off at half time. (Brian McDermott, the Leeds Rhino's coach however thought it was great and gave it a 9/10) You cannot really fault Bridcutt, at the anchor of our defence, though the other midfielders leave a lot to be desired. I would drop Cook, he blows hot and cold too much. I'd go Dallas Bridcutt, Dave, Murphy. In attack its fair to say we have some serious problems. Doukara and ???
Morning all, I am not overly impressed with Bridcutt, he passes the ball to the wrong player nearly as many times as he wins the ball... We don't have enough attacking options when him and Diagouraga play together. Not sure what the answer is to be honest, I would start Berardi Bellusci Cooper Taylor and if we do start with the two defensive midfield players together maybe go 4-4-2 with Erwin and Doukara up front if Wood isn't match fit. We just haven't many options, lots of central midfield players but not many are very good.
You aren't suggesting that the finances aren't as bright as lying convicted fraudster Cellino has been painting are you? When the final accounts come out in their real form after being inspected there is going to be a lot of humble pie on the table to be eaten and I suspect I wont be needing a spoon.
Phil Hay @PhilHayYEP 53m53 minutes ago In 2013-14 (mostly GFH's reign), amounts earned by club directors was £521k. In 2014-15, that fell to £16k. Tells a story.
Phil Hay @PhilHayYEP 55m55 minutes ago It cost the club more than £1m to free themselves from the catering contract Ken Bates agreed with Compass Services.
Phil Hay @PhilHayYEP 57m57 minutes ago Other points of interest - Leeds made £9.8m on transfers in 14-15, helped by the sale of Ross McCormack to Fulham.
Phil Hay @PhilHayYEP 1h1 hour ago The reason for the overall loss of £2m was essentially admin expenses of £33.3m. That is still reduced from £37.2m in 2013-14.
Phil Hay @PhilHayYEP 1h1 hour ago No mention in the accounts of Macron/Enterprise disputes. But Leeds face "legal claims and various claims from HM Revenue and Customs."
Phil Hay @PhilHayYEP 1h1 hour ago The idea of GFH taking annual payments from #lufc until June 2032 is, well, quite something.
So we have loans of £21m, but £17m of those are structured now (potentially over 16 years) with no interest acruing by the looks. We've also reduced that debt from £20m. Looks like things have been improved massively, but they needed to be. Still a little worrying the operating costs of the business are so high and the wage bill is too, although i would assume these have been reduced further since end of June last year.
You can reduce your loans all you like, but that don't win matches, and that's what a footy team is all about, eh?
small correction ELL. A scapegoat is a person or animal which takes on the sins of others, or is unfairly blamed for problems. The concept comes originally from Leviticus, in which a goat is designated to be cast into the desert with the sins of the community.
Stabilising the club after years of financial mismanagement is a step forward imo. Lets see where we are in a couple of years.
