I wouldn't say its null and void as Pablo isn't playing at the moment, and hasn't for a while.

It would be nice if Pablo could keep himself fit and get 10-15 and someone like Costa or Harrison could also add 10-15 to make up for Bamfords lack of goals. If not, might be better playing Eddie.

    Nice shirt btw.

Well once again we made hard work of beating an average team on our own soil as we squandered chances, chose the wrong options, lost our way, same old same old .

    Positives

    Three points.
Two 1-0 home victories where our defence has held firm.
Kalvin Phillips immense again, fitting one of our academy lads scores the winner on such a special day.
Ben White as commanding as ever.
Alioski's best game of the season even though he lost it with two easy chances to put the game to bed.
Berardi looking assured standing in for Cooper.
Ayling encouraging his teammates when we were under the cosh.
Harrison's interception & lay off to Phillips.
Appreciation for our Leeds legends prior to the game.
Beckford song immense, Jermaine loved it
Becchio & Radebe chants good too.

    Negatives

    Squandered chances, nothing new there
    Final ball/crosses poor.
Our forwards players couldn't score in a brothel.
Seems like every move breaks down in & around the oppositions box.
Where was Klich yesterday, still playing for Poland I assume.
Feel sorry for Dallas who is not a central midfielder.
Square pegs in round holes because we haven't got a big enough squad.
Marcelo tells us we have every position covered, have we f**k.
So who is our alternative for Pablo then ? missing him big-time.
Costa still off the pace, looks more like a £1.5m signing than £15m, hoping he comes good.
Substitutions made no difference in fact we got worse.
Tyler Roberts still finding his way after two years at Leeds.
Spent more time defending once Bamford was subbed.
Barry Douglas why? his first cross straight into the keepers gloves then he plays a suicidal pass at the back.
We are always poor after a international break.
Brum fans, a disgrace at the end

Dallas is wasted in central midfield, when Forshaw/Pablo/Shackleton are fit I feel Dallas will be frozen out unless he can dislodge Alioski.

Pretty much in agreement. Most of our good work went down the left, & Alioski & Harrison were a well-oiled machine together. I noticed almost immediately that when we defended, Harrison became LB & Alioski marked someone on the inside, same as last game. Then I twigged that we'd lined up 3-1-3-3. Not 3-3-1-3, as you might expect. Puzzling. However, I think that formation suited Alioski right down to the ground. He was LWB when we attacked down the left, and a Duracell bunny the rest of the time. Dallas was mirroring this on the right to a certain extent, but it just wasn't working with him & Costa imo. I don't think it was Dallas that was at fault either. Costa to me seems like a free role kinda guy. I believe our system might be too disciplined for him & it's taking a wee while to get up to speed. Hopefully he'll get there.

Similarly, Nketiah showed why Bielsa has been reluctant to pick him. No goals (yet the Bamford haters promised so much!), and not being sufficiently disciplined in the system. There were a couple of glaring examples where he ran back too far to defend, without winning the ball. The defence/midfield did their job by winning the ball back, looked up for their outlet - and he was behind them! There were other disconnects too. The boy is still learning and needs to be patient. Interestingly, in the first half, Bamford had a shot from the left that whilstled past the far post. I remember remarking that Nketiah would have been on the end of that, had he been playing. Conclusion? I think he should be playing, but he's not ready to lead the line. I just don't know where he should line up in this system. Hopefully Bielsa will work something out.

We're a team that defends from the front, and second half yesterday, we didn't, hence the midfield was over-run. Not the fault of KP, as Captain Jackboot asserts as usual. The fault was Nketiah, and to a lesser extend, Costa, not providing the fuller performance that others can - i.e. concerted pressing. On a brighter note, Costa had his first tackle for Leeds yesterday! Well, sort of. :)

People saying Eddie didn't score, he's scored 2 league goals in something like 202 league minutes, that's a goal every 101 minutes or just under a goal a game, where as Bamford has no goals in last 8 home games, are we really trying to compair them.

There’s no comparison. It’s the usual, you’re not allowed criticise but whenever we sell him, he’ll be declared a useless bollix same as happened with BPF <doh>

Constructive criticism is IMO grand, differing opinions is grand, but the constant bollocks spouted for the sake of spouting bollocks pisses me off. :(

Chesh no sweat I know you weren't. I was just manning up saying that I was messing about Eddie. Even if you were having a go at me it wouldn't matter because you're entitled to and I wouldn't be offended by it...<ok>
