Still far too early to press panic buttons. Newcastle are pointless and Derby have one point and they were both promotion favourites before season started

how funny ... my text has just been read out on BBC Radio Leeds about having too many young players and not enough leaders, and Whelan says the youngsters need to understand they have to step up regardless of age when they put on the White shirt ... Brum fought hard second half, but their team is far more experienced in the Championship and they understand that this fcuking graveyard of a division is more about hard graft and less about pretty tippy tappy ... we clearly couldn't cope with a hard working opponent who were interested in a result, not a performance ... Newcastle and their skillful bunch are finding out very quickly that this Championship is going to be a lot harder than they expected because teams here will battle you to the death, and if you can't stand up to the onslaught then you are going to be in trouble

Evans is another fcuking tool ... he didn't call out his team, he did a Colin and pointed his fat fcuking fish finger at scapegoats ... his calling Botaka "lucky to be on the pitch" after the Watford FA Cup tie was nothing short of disgraceful, and showed the lack of class the clown has ... Monk will get us going, he is learning about his players in competitive situations, and he will smack the slackers hard ... this is an eye-opener for Monk for sure, but he will channel his anger positively and sort out the men from the boys

Hope you're right Billy but I don't have the same optimism....

I totally agree no panic buttons yet but three games in and Monks signings have to be questioned. His team selection has to be questioned, his substitutions have to be questioned and changing to 4-4-2 today didn't work.

Was our new RB better than Coyle? Roofe never started, scared to drop Wood? Grimes, I just ask why, Hernandez was signed as a number 10 in the middle of a 3 for 4-2-3-1 and what position did he play today?

Monk mentioned the soft underbelly has been at the club for a few years now, my problem with that is, he played 9 players that he had brought in or promoted from the youth ranks, these players haven't been playing for Leeds 1st team that long, so I think he's mentioning that as a scapegoat. Monk is the coach, he makes the selection so must shoulder most of the responsibility.

While ever Green is in goal we're going to concede goals.

Many wanted Bellusci, Bianchi, Silvestri and Antenucci out, they got their wish, now look what's happening. Will Monk end up doing to Leeds what Lone Rangel said he did to Swansea.........let's effing hope not but he's got rid of better players so far......:emoticon-0148-yes:

It's ok bringing in players, but they have got to be better than the players he got rid of, or the fans will see it and the team will suffer. Some players he got rid of he never saw or gave a chance too.

Agree with most of this, new players worse than those rid of, I would prefer Antonnson/Roofe over Antenucci, I always felt Bellusci was better than Bamba. Monk didn't get rid of these though, they left before he came in.

I do find it strange he allowed Sloth and a couple of others to leave before seeing what they can do but your first paragraph I agree 100% with

    Glorys match report

    Plus points:
We have a playing system that's recognisable for the first time in years.

Negatives. It's fecking ****e, we played a very rigid 4-4-2 and whilst in possession we looked tidy enough but in reality there was far too much square ball and back passes. We are at least six players short of competing in this league.
We need a goalie, a left back (cos Taylor is history), two centre backs, a ball winning midfielder ( not Bridcutt) and a striker so we never see Wood again.

In short at times we pretty on the eye but created very little, but when we coughed up cheap possession ( we did this a lot) we were completely panic striken, never put a tackle in and watched them rip us to pieces. Gary Monk won't see September. Lose to Fulham and its bye bye. It's not his fault. Cellino has failed to invest in decent players and our lack of a pre season was clear to see. We were running on fumes from the hour mark.

I think we will be relegated having seen that. As for Phil Hay saying Mowatt ran the first half I think he was at a different game.

According to commentator Ayling was doing pretty good at RB, but that was first half, everything seemed to go tits up in 2nd.

I don't think Viera's ready yet, neither is Coyle or Phillips, they've got to step up and learn how to play with more experienced players very quick however, having said that, Monk said he knows how to prepare his team for the start of the season.........which season was he on about.

Coyle and Phillips need to go. If they ain't good enough now they never will be.... Fact.
Ayling did OK. But that's not much comfort.

Coyle is only 19 and Phillips is 20 and you're writing them off? Lol nah.

But other than that I'm so happy the football is back. Woop. Leeds playing always cheers me up. Cough.

I would have kept Bellusci personally, he wasn't great but on average we conceded less when he was on the pitch.

Antenucci had some good elements to his game but was a grade a ****. So not bothered about him really.

The rest were awful though LL.

I agree with the majority of what you wrote (I got an appointment booked with Psychiatrist...:emoticon-0105-wink:) however,

I don't agree it's Cellino's fault, he allowed Monk to bring in the players he wanted, he also scrapped his over 31 policy and we ended up with a 36 yr old keeper who probably doesn't know what a clean sheet means.

    Them's the only points I can't agree with you on........God I feel sick.....:emoticon-0105-wink:

If they can't get in our first team defence this season or last and they are old to shave they won't make it.

Cellino means well, I accept that, in his head he thinks he is doing all the right things and I believe he really does want to see us get promoted.... However... He thought it would be a carbon copy of how he did it in SerieB

He has seriously under estimated how hard this division can be, how cruel and unforgiving fans can be and more importantly how getting promoted on the cheap doesn't work unless you get the right coach and give them time and full control on signings, tactics and selection without peer pressure.

I agree Coyle, Phillips and Viera are young, but we're suppose to be going for a promotion push, personally I don't think they're ready and we would be carrying them if Monk keeps picking them, inexperienced players are weak links. On the other hand, how do they gain experience if they don't play in 1st team, catch 22 situation really.

Agree about Bellusci, him and Cooper played well together......:emoticon-0148-yes:

There was a couple of occasions where large sections of the crowd(not me) were singing "we're ****ing ****e" for the last half an hour it would be hard to disagree. Tuesday could be very, very ugly... Expect Cellino to give it a miss!
