Who would have even thought about Pablo and Samu in the same starting 11?
I did......suggested it before it even happened, then low and behold, TC made it happen, they've been good together since and Leeds have benefitted from it in a big way. Now TC has to change our abysmal midfield. You know, Klitch and Dallas might not be a bad combo, but could Dallas last or survive a full game running backwards and forwards? Maybe Klitch and Vieira.........Klitch and Cibicki........as alternatives.......Word is Orta's looking at bringing at least one DM in.
Morning all. Feeling quite positive about Friday's game, expect us to nic it, and this could well be The start of a good run thro' to the new year. Will be surprised if there is any big investment in Jan
Not often I disagree with you Doc, but I do on this occasion regarding Green. While Green may have looked good on a few occasions, he did have a bloody good defence in front of him. One of Green's flaws were the same flaws he was dropped for as the England keeper, he fumbles, lacks concentration and his mind tends to wander. Last season he was responsible for quite a few goals where we lost by being out of position for a so called experience keeper. He was also an animated keeper during quite a few games, meaning he went through the motions of diving but looked like a kid who had been put in goal for first time on the school playing field. He also had a tendency to go through the motions while attempting to dive, but still ended up on the spot he was stood on prior. He also made a few good saves, as every keeper, good or mediocre do, so did Wiedwald, Lonergan and Sylvestri......
WJs stats missed quite a few pertinent things... but that isn’t one of them! I’ve already pointed the others out earlier... but maybe one of the reasons the defence looks flaky is they don’t have a keeper organising them and inspiring confidence? Reality is Felix has had sod all to do in most of his games and in the games when he has had something to do he’s looked nervy. He has been a scapegoat and some of the stick was OTT and unfair, but stevie wonder could see green is a better keeper. Felix was picked for distribution and distribution alone. Hey that’s football, opinions opinions
I think we can beat Villa by two, but the DM's need to be on form, or Villa will exploit all the spare space we give'em.
If we need somebody with Lonergan/Green's experience and Wielwald's distribution but with better ability to organise the defence and if like at the moment we don't really care if they can shot stop - surely there's only one choice please log in to view this image

View attachment 82238
Could Klitch play with Klitch. Can we find another one or maybe Ortas lining a whole team Of Klitches for January
If he is that good that he will drag us single handedly to promotion could we at least spell his name correctly. KLICH
Just been on today's breakfast thread and I thought we'd avoided his name being mentioned, sadly not....
Could Klitch play with Klitch. Can we find another one or maybe Ortas lining a whole team Of Klitches for January
Oops! I only posted the broken record .jpg. The rest of the nonsense is courtesy of LL in post #61. Think the quote system must have broken somehow.
A lot of work, and a lot of hurdles were overcome to eventually get Klich, Orta and the club put in a lot of time and effort to bring him to Leeds. A lot of good things were said about Klich. He was known as the penetrator because of his ability to create defence splitting passes, and through passes that leave defenders wrong footed, do you think, if the club are prepared to put that amount of time and effort to get their man, that TC could do the right thing and at least give him a couple of back to back games to prove his worth, and, at least he can't be any worse than Phillips if Klich had a bad game. If TC has something personal against the likes of Klich and Cibicki, then he's doing the player's, team and club a big disservice, and shouldn't be coaching. He agreed to work with a DOF....
