poor technique I thought… maybe it explains our issues in front of goal this season

I notice he went for placement and not power.

I might be doing him a disservice… could have been a little dink over the advancing keeper

    Meslier 8
What did he do wrong to deserve a lesser rating
    Kristensen 7
Excellent 2nd half after some shaky moments
    Cooper 8
Commanding & solid display from our captain.
    Koch 5
Shaky, nervous performance from our German international
    Struijk 8
    Another fine display from Pascal
    Adams 8
Tyler was everywhere, arguably our signing of the summer
    Roca 4
Was in the same midfield position as Billing for their 2nd goal, the tall ex-terrier made the man whilst Roca stood still, didn't impose himself on the game
    Harrison 1
Not one redeeming feature of his game, not great playing with ten men. If you need a lift in January I'll gladly drive you to your new home, Jack.
    Aaronson 7
Busy, not as ineffective as he can be/
    Summerville 9
Won the penalty, worked his socks off & capped a fine display with a wonderful goal
    Rodrigo 6
Nice penalty, but everything is so slow or breaks down with Rodders & Jack as our main forwards
    Gnonto 8
Love this little fella, he's so direct with his runs, no thoughts of going sideways or backwards, great run & pass for the winning goal, showed intelligence on a his final run when winding the clock down
    Greenwood 8
Could this be the start of a glittering career for Sam, lovely strike & some great corner-kicks.
    Ayling n/a
    Gelhardt n/a

Think you’re being generous with some of those markings, maybe a bit carried away by the comeback, considering we dogshit for fifty minutes of the game. Personally I thought Greenwood was the game changer and my man of the match. And maybe I’m being harsh as he’d just got the late winner but I didn’t like Summerville not recognising the brilliant work of Gnonto. Can’t remember who it was but I’m sure after the main celebration one of the team pointed him towards Gnonto. That said, Summerville has that confident / arrogant Dutch swagger about him.

Maybe, I just seem to remember him being pointed in the direction of Gnonto, I might be wrong, wouldn’t be the first time ever.

Normally very close to you on markings but Struijk 8? I thought he was awful (and I really like him as a player). How many times (not just the first goal) did they switch from their left to right with a long pass and he was nowhere in sight?

Pascal got caught out positional-wise a couple of times, but with the ball he was very tidy.

I was at the game & recognised our deficiencies in the first fifty minutes, but the last 4o minutes was something special. I also watched the whole ninety minutes re-run of the game on LUTV without all the emotion & tenseness one endures watching Leeds live.

Summerville, Gnonto & Greenwood are all exciting prospects for the future.

Our defenders were much better defensively & joining in our attacking moves during the 2nd half as was the case with Rasmas, Coops & Pascal. Bournemouth only had two efforts in that period.
