What a great first half that was end to end stuff. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
We really should be ahead and been really unlucky on 2nd balls off shots.
Leicester looked knackered coming off there at Ht.
More of that 2nd half please. McGurk is going to net in the 2nd half just have a feeling.

 

Not having Summerville, Greenwood or Joffy is about to cost us 3 points at worst and 2 points at best

 

Dunno how we lost that to be honest. Looked a pen to me.
Lots to take out of that even with an under strength side.
Some engine Drameh has you saw it in full effect 2nd half.
Bate very neat and tidy will be a player have no doubt you see he has something about him.
Thought we were very unlucky but totally agree Doc our bench players would of smashed this game tonight.

 

A battling performance from the lads against a very good Leicester team, but lacking a finish. No sugar coated way to say this but not having our best players tonight cost us, just in case they are needed for the first team. Defence wouldn't have fallen asleep if Cresswell was playing and in Joffy we have a match winner and even though Max Dean trys and will be good one day he scuffed a couple tonight where Joffy would have buried it. Ce la vie

 

Salford lost last night in the EFL Trophy to Tranmere. So gives the young lads a carrot on November 2nd to go out and qualify for the knockout stages if beating Salford or better an Oldham scoreline.
Be nice to see them go further and get to the nitty gritty as it will be a great learning curve.
Something to look forward too though as at least we still have everything to play for.

 

Back in Cup action today.

 

Another stupid date used for this cup so we dont have players who are away on International duty so again at a huge disadvantage. Players missing:

So now are we out?

 

Yes think you can say we are now out. What a waste if time being in it when the fixture list means you cannot use your best team. Another 2-1 defeat after another spirited show but using 16yo kids against men is a joke and was it me I would withdraw my club from these cups. Look at the fixture list on the first page of this thread and see we always end up having to play immediately before or after a league game or on an International break when we have no players. A joke
