Would love this one to happen as hes the closest thing in world football to Messi. Also comes from where Bielsa and Messi live in Rosario
2 that are probably clickbait but I'll post them anyway. Charlie Taylor Thomas-Assante from West Brom, a little raw around the edges but has scored a couple of worldies, works hard , better players around him, he should shine.
Charlie Taylor you say! Only a ****ing left footed ****ing left back! He's just become available now that Burnley have got yer man Maatsen from Chelsea again. £32 million quid they have to pay next summer. Who the **** do Burnley think they are? I reckon this one could be a goer as long as Burnley don't start with the Summerville ****e again.
Final tally 19 players out with 11 of them being out loan and 11 coming in. I believe we got the best of the deals as we look to be a real team now and most of the players who left I was glad left, with the exceptions of Rodrigo and Sinisterra, but lets be frank we never got to see a fully fit Sinisterra. Of the inbound players I think they are all good but Anthony I am unsure about? His stats show he played 80 league games for Bournemouth mostly in Championship I can’t see him being a starter whereas all the others except Darlow will be
Sinnistera says wiki scored 6 goals for us don't know if that includes his last goal. He made 21 appearances but how many were as a starter.
Right lads. I was gonna do a special thread but I don't have time to do it so I'll do it in stages on here as and when I have the time. Goalkeepers. Last season - Meslier, Robles and Klaesson. This season - Meslier, Darlow and Klaesson. Personally I think Robles is better than Darlow so we could possibly be slightly weaker in this department. Meslier lost all confidence last year and needs to rediscover some form. There's not much between last year and this year's goalkeepers imo.
Agreed, hard to call, hopefully a better goalkeeping coach and a lesser league will mean Meslier regaining some confidence. Not much in it but last years PL vs this seasons championship so you have to give the edge to better equipped than last season
Yeah, good point about the coaching team. We have to hope they are better. Former coach Abad went to West Brom and their keeper was great against us.
I’m going to say the same about goalkeeping coaches as I do about managers. They can only create the opportunity for players to flourish. Whether that’s taken us out of their hands. I don’t know Marcus Abad. I don’t know what effect he had on meslier. I know he was picked up quickly by West Brom, whose manager knew him from his time at Leeds so presumably thought he was ok. So who knows what effect a new coach will have on meslier, if any. New league? He’ll have a bit less to do likely and there should be less stress and more confidence in general in a team that’s (hopefully!) not losing every week. So hopefully that will help
Agree. Our strikes at goal are always a bit scuffed or hit over the bar. Salford was a great example. Hopefully Piroe doesn't start that ****. I genuinely think goalkeeper is a huge weak point in our team. Should have got yer man from Rotherham.
Right back- Last season - Ayling, Kristensen, Drameh. This season - Ayling, Spence, Byram, Shackleton. Spence wins this for this seasons squad. Ayling backing up is good for this level.
Don't forget the subs we can use. Imagine two from those replacing two starters after say 65 mins. What other team in this league has that luxury.
Left back - Last year - Firpo, Wober, Struijk. This year - Firpo, Byram, Struijk, Shackleton. Wober was a big loss and we look stronger last year than this tbh. Negligent of the club to not sign someone for this position. Huge huge weakpoint of the team both last year and this. Out of all the players listed Wober is the best left back there....and he's a ****ing centre back. None of the others are good enough or available enough or both in Firpos case cos he's **** blono.
