Quite simple really. Games involving Leeds get more people watching than other Championship games and quite a number of PL games. No doubt a lot tuning in hoping TWS get thrashed.
On TV a full Elland Road with everyone behind both goals stood up getting behind the team and celebrating goals looks better than a threequarters empty KCOM with the vast majority seated and creaking slowly to their feet to politely applaud before sitting down again after a goal. Same with away games where Leeds sell out their allocation unlike City.
Don't like it myself but you don't have to watch them.

Stuck through it with the team the fans. With some of the worst owners ever. Unlike....

A lot of saddoes follow the vermin. From Scandinavia, Ireland even a few from Leeds itself, but very few proportionally for a conurbation of that size.

They've become a bit of a football freakshow...the big city club that us hopelessly run, with a fanbase that was boastful but is now laughably self-deluded and self-pitying.

Have we ever won when we've been on Sky? Ever? I'm sure somebody on here knows.

My theory is that some of their fans from ' back in their day' are now in TV at a highish levels and influence what goes on Sky , scum the lot of them...

Won a few but we have had some real stinkers over the years to the point where I would say we seem to reserve our drabbest nil-nillers for the cameras.

City were in the first televised satellite game in this country. Needless to say we lost.

It was away at Middlesbrough. Think it was in some tin pot cup game so inconsequential I can't recall the name of it. About 1992/93 time. Only reason I saw it was the dad of a lad who played in same junior team as my lad was a TV aerial installer and had just got BSB and knowing I was a City fan asked me round to watch it. Needed a Squarial if I recall correctly. A receiver which was quickly ditched when BSkyB came about and they stopped broadcasting on the frequencies it used.

Remember a fluke last minute win at DQPR on telly on NYD 2016 when their keeper cleared it onto Diomande's arse and into his own net.

Could do with summat similar today like.
