And most of you have been sensible and accepted the performance but your reaction shows you up as a man child, presumably you are a man but there's no evidence of that.
No ****er has said we're world beaters, just your hatred blinding you. Most Leeds fans I know and we were talking about it in the pub last night, saying how well you've done and we've very little chance of catching you, we've beat you fair and square today, you're just a tad emotional about it.
Oh I agree, apart from first goal. Just don't like your fans, never have since those ugly scenes when we relegated you all them years ago, disgraceful scenes!!
They were and there's been a lot from and against us over the years but you shouldn't let that blind you to how well beaten you were today. You should try and split the fans from the team. My mate got his face slashed at Liverpool, I was stood next to him, hated their fans since but it doesn't stop me recognising their teams achievements over the years.
We'll bounce back, second with a 7 point gap at Xmas? Most of us would have bitten your hand off for that back in August.
I hope that puts to bed all the nonsense about Woolfy Spanish? Without him sweeping up for Clarke we were lambs to the slaughter today.
Lets get a bit of perspective on this, as disappointing as it is we were well beaten by a team worth over £206M most of which have played in the Prem, while we have a team which is basically our LG1 side so its not really surprising we lost today. We have been punching above our weight this season but thats not easy to produce every match, quite honestly i would have been happy at the start of the season for a solid mid table finish to find out what we need for the following season, but weve been spoilt so far but it doesnt mean that everything now stops and we go backwards until the end of the season, it just means that there will be days like these and its how we respond that matters coupled to some good acquisitions in January for the second half of the season.
I missed the game as watching Jungle Bòok with grandchildren. I will watch it tomorrow. We must take it on the chin and recover for the next game. Lessons to be learnt, and maybe time to bring back Walton. Several positives, one being Morsy not carded. If someone had told me we were 2nd, 7pts clear of a Prem team at Xmas, I would have pulled the other one. We have points on the board, 4 defeats since Feb. McKenna is doing an amazing job with a L1 team basically and the team has had an excellent first half to the season. We were due a bad game, and one poor game doesn’t make us a bad team. Strengthen in January, move on.
Totally agree gagger....Walton has to nkw come in. As well as hladky has done, he doesn't feel me with confidence, so can't imagine how the defence feel.
We would have taken it before a hall was kicked but now anything less than promotion after our start will be a failure. It’s a rare position we find ourselves in, we’ll never have a better platform to get into the Premier League than this. It’s time for McKenna to change the message now and declare that we are in a promotion battle. We’ve been pleasantly surprised by our ability to come back in games and grind out results but today none of that was on show. The way the away end is set up at Elland Road and with the early goal silencing our support and having rings run around us, it was the most uncomfortable I have ever felt at a football match. Let’s call a spade a spade, it was a diabolical, shambolic performance.
I have to agree and say I do feel a bit for Woolfenden, he's barely put a foot wrong in the past year and he covers RB position well, in fact I'd say majority of mistakes he looks to have made have been due to RB this season. I can tell Axel is a good defender but I haven't quite seen the levels which others seem to have in his performances. Clarkes form has been questionable this season and we often see Woolfy bailing him out (or trying to) but when Axel is in the team it usually Clarke trying to bail Axel out. Doesn't seem quite there yet with his positioning or timing which is understandable given his lack of game time but for me at the moment I'd have Woolfy in the team over Axel, he's been our most consistent CB since McKenna has been here. Maybe it is time to bring back a bit more defensive solidity in the team. We are playing a league up, so against better opposition but we also have perhaps more attack minded players in the team this season with Clarke and Hladky. It does take some defensive components away from the team without the presence of Walton or defensive capabilities of Donacien in the team....admittedly it would be harsh on Hladky and Donacien has been injured but our defence has been an issue and l generally don't think it's been CB positions that have been the problem.
