Match Preview;
Our hosts on Saturday, Leeds United, sit 3rd in the table, just 4 points behind league leaders Sunderland. They'd won 3, and drawn 1 before losing to 5th placed Millwall last night...good news as they've only got two full days between matches. Their top scorer is Joe Piroe with 5 goals. Their manager, Daniel Farke, is in his second season in charge, having managed to finish 3rd last season, before losing in the playoff final. He, and the Leeds faithful, will be hoping this year they can go a step better and return to the Premiership.

As for us, Tuesday night was an incredibly frustrating watch...even I abandoned my usual optimism and positive attitude, it was awful...and I won't go through all the complaints that were highlighted on the match day thread...we don't have time for that, but I will say that if we don't start playing two up front, and at least giving ourselves a chance when the ball gets in the opposition half, what is the point? Surely Cifuentes must have realised that playing a lone striker isn't working because Celer doesn't seem to have the physical presence to bully defenders into making mistakes, therefore creating opportunities, and when he wins anything in the air there is no one around to support him. Hoping it'll be a bit better if Dembélé returns, but surely, injuries allowing, we have to start Celer and Frey together.

Team news and manager comments to go up when/if on the official, enjoy if you are making the trip, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

Well done Dave for having the strength to keep doing these in current circumstances.

In an attempt to forget this game is even happening I’m going to the Czech Republic for the weekend, Slovan Liberec v Hradec Kralove on Saturday and Slavia Prague v MFK Karvina on Sunday. Bliss.

Nice one Dave, agree with SB, thanks for ploughing on with this thankless task

Fear we will be totally caned by Leeds, our whole MO seems to be park the bus and hope a wayward cross pings in off Celar's nut

Marti needs to find his mojo, I don't understand this persistence in playing a system that patently doesn't work

Go 4 3 3, try anything other than 1 up front with no support

Better to die standing than to live on your knees

Chair and Dembele out for weeks. Not ETA on Frey or Paal. JCS also looking ****ed. I'm normally on the optimistic side but I can't see anything but relegation for this squad now.

Can we still take free agents?

Some of current team should watch this game, shows how to play on the front foot and play for each other. Huge void in quality between the players of yesteryear and today, but shows how ordinary players can achieve through teamwork and determination. And of course a manager who understands player abilities and plays them in their best position.

Loved watching that video.

Still gives me goosebumps when I watch that.....what a day..... the brilliance of that side, HQ packed to the rafters and the commentary of the great Brian Moore to top it off...... doubt I'll see us in that position again in my lifetime..... sigh

True that, Trammers.
Brian Moore is my all time favourite football commentator.
