I agree about Nunez but Howson can do a job in a 4-4-2, he's not as influencial as in the attacking mid role but he did well against West Ham and Town alongside Clayton. You could have: Clayton - Brown Snodrass Howson McCormack ---------Keogh
I s'pose that would be alright. Fantasized last season about that Scottish wing partnership, the skilful Eddie Gray in Snodgrass and the powerful-shooting Lorimer in McCormack. We might as well attack from the off against Palace, and for me Ramon's established himself as a starting-quality player. His finishing is class. Think his passing game will also come on in leaps and bounds as we see more of him. Was going to ask the QPR lot on here about Saagen Nargen Dargen Monen. Don't know a lot about him except having watched his debut last season.
McCormack played on the left a lot for Cardiff, and he drifts into wide positions when he's unfront anyway. I reckon SG will keep the same team that started against Town, just with Nunez in for Gradel tbh.
Are you you kidding, our reserve team would give crystal palace a run for the money. Don't take it the wrong way, but anything but 3 points against a poor palace side, then i'd def start to question grayson.
If Grayson goes 4-5-1 once Becchio is back I feel it will be McCormack wide left, Snodgrass right and leave it to Howson, Nunez, Brown and Clayton to fight over the remaining three spots. His signing of Keough till January suggests 4-4-2 for a while longer.
i think we are better playing 442 and i dont see a reason to change it even when becchio comes back. Nunez may need to learn a little about the defensive game though if he is given that role otherwise sam might be pushing ahead of him
I can't see how Palace are a poor side, this will be a tough game against a well organised team. Anything less than 3 points against Palace & you'd start to question Grayson? Going by our piss poor results since January I'm amazed you haven't started to question him already.
Leeds 4 Palace 2. Keogh to grab 2, 1 for Howson and a rare home goal for Snodds Lonaghan Connelly O'Dea Kissa Lees Snodgrass Howson Clayton Sam Keogh McCormack
Monster-Leeds you clearly know **** all about Palace, so why make such a ****y comment? I dont see how taking 10 points from 15 is the work of a poor team, granted not the best Palace side you will ever see at your place, but Dougie will have the lads well up for this game, and I see it being a close encounter. I am really looking forward to it. To any sensible Leeds fans, I wish you luck for the rest of the season after Saturday. You are much to big a side to be sitting mid table in the Championship!!
I can see a 1-1 draw here given our respective positions in the league. That said, with a 442 formation, Keogh & McCormack working overtime with the sight of Becchio looming large on the bench. Maybe we'll get a loanee or two in before the game or maybe we won't. But we are at home & we should have a fairly strong squad, even more so if Snoddy has a night off tonight.
We've played far better than our position suggests, and tbh I don't see anything in the actual Palace team to suggest they will be in the same position come the end of the season. Bare in mind our bad luck, consisting of 2(3) own goals and 3 wrongful sendings off. We've played well enough to win every single game after Southampton and, if we carry on performing like we have been, our luck will change.
surely they can't be enough **** referees in the league to get us relegated! that most hated team in the year sun survey has really come back to haunts us No but seriously we start ****, we get good, we get real good, we get poor, we get real poor, we get really good in the last 2 or 3 or so games. That's basically Leeds season every season.
Our last three performances have been decent but a sending off cost us dearly. Four points from the last 3 games isn't bad (twisting the stats in our favour) life without Gradel and the team hopefully trying to prove a point that we don't need him to win so I predict 2-0 first clean sheet of the season with McCormack putting in a top show knowing Becchio is waiting on that bench.
Palace are a decent side, but I can't see us losing at home, lets hope we get the rub of the green. We've had far too many sendings off's and own goals so far this season...
palace are currently walking though the dougie freedman wonderland. can see them knicking this. EAGLES
