It wasn't my fault that we appointed 3 bad managers hopefully we have a good one hence my optimism Remember if you care to we beat home and away the best 2 teams in the league Boro and Bournemouth so we can do it then we lose to Millwall Cardiff Brentford this is totally inconsistency I see us getting much more consistent I like the look of some of our new recruits Wood will get better when he is fit Erwin I am positive will do well Adeyemi will be our engine all we need is a pacey winger and perhaps a right back Dakiwra .You may not have noticed but we have the height now to bully defences especially at set pieces I expect and you no doubt or you mate will quote me on this matter that we will score lots more goals from these positions.Watch this space I am surprised no one else has noticed this
So thats a no then! We both agree I didn't say you said we would get promoted. With no wingers (we wont be getting any) that leaves us playing hoofball. First problem with that is our goalie cant kick where he intends!!!!! We are mid table at absolute best as it stands.
lets see shall we I AGREE we need a wide boy I would have loved Burke a few years ago now I'm leaning towards Murphy Patterson Antonio but he will be too expensive but we sure need the last piece of the jigsaw
Patterson would be a fantastic signing, been banging on about him all summer. I'm a bit unsure on what our plans are for the remainder of the transfer window.
Rosler has said he wants a natural wide left attacking player, will Cellino listen, do we have the funds? Sloth and Doukoura have both been played there, this leads to the mystery why not try Erwin, does Cellino not want to buy for that position because he feels Doukoura or Erwin should be fine playing it... I am with Glory as in I don't believe one will be on the way unless maybe on loan.
It's all well and good having players like Erwin and Doukara who can play wide, but they're not going to be natural wingers. Still persisting with square pegs in round holes. It's getting tiresome, we haven't had a good natural wide player since Snoddy left. Hopefully Rosler will be able to convince Cellino to part with some cash
Kiwi Agreed Mate We've got a good set of player who can play various positions, hell we had that when Colin was in charge. playing players that can play in that position even though it's not there natural position won't help. Peltier could play across the back 4 still didn't make him a LB. I've been saying this for a bit not but we don't have enough players in the squad. It's all good saying let's throw the kids in but are going to throw 5 kids in to the starting line up come August? I hope not. We need to sign some more players and SLOWLY blood in the kids
Yet again you are easily pleased. At least your low expectations explain why you are satisfied with the current situation at ER.
Listen mate, I did my apprenticeship with Partick Thistle. I suffered them & Leeds getting relegated in the same season, as well as having Bertie Volgts drag down an already appalling Scotland team. And you wonder why I have low expectations?
You are Scottish... Ergo We all understand both your low expectations and the chip you have on both shoulders!
May be a chip on each shoulder, but that makes me a balanced individual! Unlike your good self, who appears to be unbalanced, &nearing unhinged! .
Two articles outlining how much our rivals have spent on strengthening their squads, first how do some of them spend that much yet remain within FFP rules secondly it puts things into perspective with regards to how much we still need to improve. http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spor...lubs-who-have-spent-big-this-summer-1-7379719 http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....otion-rivals-are-splashing-the-cash-1-7379853
kiwi and Jocko, excellent points well made, appreciate the effort and great to read such well written pieces ... Jocko is spot on about Tyler Denton, powerful and quick LB with a left peg reminiscent of one Ian Harte but may still be a season away ... thanks for the links ristac, it is curious about the FFP, but clearly clubs are gambling everything on getting promotion and then surviving in the Prem ... remember, next season the Prem riches go stratospheric, so this is the season to go up because the gap is going to be huge and living in the Championship is going to become even more damaging Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
So now we just need a CB, LB and a winger. Seems like they listened to me at the start of the window when I said what we needed. Looks like we're going for a CB next.
UPDATED .... Botake added ... we still look short squad-wise, but we look a lot better than we have for a decade ... can see at least two more loans coming in, and Ajose going out on loan Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
