Plenty twist and turns yet, championship is relentless. Win on sat and its back to 5 to Sheffield with them at Leeds. Not giving up yet, hopefully mundle and Watson back to sharpness asap
Not sure why anyone would tbh ... ... if you don't have a bit of blind faith football would be pointless for the majority of supporters.
Rest of us ?, bottling it suggests we were fearful, scared and not able to handle the occasion, in my opinion we ran out of steam purely down to our squad depth at the moment, and also we were undone by a couple of quality deliveries from subs from a big and talented squad, but we were seconds away from a away point from the best team in the league who are flying, so to suggest we “bottled it “ is harsh and disrespectful of a young team who give it their all
I doubted whether he'd become the captain we've needed for years but he's proved more than capable. I know this'll sound daft but I watched him on 'Access All Areas', earlier in the season, when he was handing the team sheet to the referee. He looked nervous and sullen while the opposing captain would be smiling, chatting and pushing his chest out. In my opinion that meeting is the first chance for a captain to 'put a marker down'. Neil now looks confident and aloof which I really like ... ... it wouldn't kill him to sign a contract though, that would give everyone a boost even if he ends up leaving.
All these fans slagging RLB off and calling for him to go will all be singing his name at the weekend or at Wembley when we win. football fans are fickle. we’ve only lost 5 games this season, in the league. all by 1 goal. Another day it would have ended 1-1 but that’s football. think some need to really take a step back and recall how far we have come in 4 years…
I have read all you say, only problem I can see is what could happen and what does happen doesn't always coincide
Well...we beat Boro twice this season, which means third time lucky for Boro. Regarding Cov, the ghost of Jimmy Hill holds power over us.
Same. I've a horrible feeling we get beat by them, without much reason or logic to support it. Just gut feeling. Probably driven by trauma of past Wembley failures to be fair
Whatever happened to that Dan Neil contract....thought it was done according to a few in the know here
I suspect Bob means the whole day, not the actual match. If we played Coventry at Wembley it would be just like the Portsmouth affair ... ... loads of edge, bits of fighting all day and an unpleasant atmosphere for everyone. I think we'd beat Coventry easily tbh.
