You make your own luck, keep plugging away and some of those mishits will bear fruit. Also it's not like the slice alone produced the chance he still had to cut inside nicely and put a great cross in. Luck had bugger all to do with it tonight.
Agree mate, the better side won on the night We offered nothing second half, got deeper and deeper as the half wore on
We made the wrong decisions at times and I include Reggie in that with the subs but Leeds ****ing cheated a lot in that game. We had them totally rattled, their crowd were quiet for a team challenging for the title but you gave to hold your hands up for the 2 balls into the box for the goals. We need to be stronger defending those types of balls in. I'm more pissed off with people's response on here than I am with the result
Yeah I said earlier we deserved a point and our defenders did for their performances, but we did get battered for most of the second half to be fair. Gutted obviously but can't really argue with the result on reflection.
I have to admit I had a cousin die tonight so I haven't been completely on it with the match. I am gutted that another late goal has cost us something. My quick observations 1st half shape was excellent Neil very good again Le Fee a little quiet today Silly foul led to the first goal Second goal - they had a bit of luck we still didn't defend it well Am I the only one who is a little disappointed in Samad - I know he had an injury - was a funny position tonight he was asked to play but he has been disappointing in light of what I had expected. Anyway onto Hull - hopefully on the front foot
Dunno if I'm wrong in my assumption. But getting battered is your goalkeeper saving goal bound balls left right and centre. Yes we didn't defend as well as we did in the first half, mind you half the team in a yellow wouldn't have helped but I really don't think we were battered. 2 good balls into the box did us imo
It was more the defence was battered and they had to play to a high level to protect the keeper. Neil was involved in that too, superb defensive performance. Quick shoutout to O'Nien for his attempted goal line block for their first goal, it was a great effort.
Would be tempted to really change it up on Saturday Patterson Hume - Mepham - Ballard - Cirkin Neil - Bellingham Mayenda - Le Fee - Mundle Isidor
Thought he was very good again tonight. As you say very unlucky with the first. But will put everything on the .ine for SAFC. Without a doubt
Pretty sure we were trying to win against Plymouth and Stoke, so “parking the bus” wasn’t on the agenda at all,
Very proud of the lads tonight. Top battling performance and no shame we fell just short. The higher level of opposition the more they will make you pay for mistakes. Silly foul give them a chance for the equalizer but so be it. Thought Leeds looked good so fair do’s. Onward and upwards HTL!!!!
Having given this match some thought I feel that it was the manner of the defeat, rather than the fact we got beat that has had the most impact. Last minute goals are great when we get them, not so good when we concede them. I hope RLB goes for it now, with Mundle and Watson fit we will have the ability to cause teams a lot of problems, I mean if you were the opposition's right back how would you feel on 65 mins when Mundle goes off and Watson comes on? We don't need to go hung ho but the fact that we have decent attacking players, and players that can feed them gives me cause for some optimism. I dont think 2nd place is out of reach, yet, but the next 3 or 4 games are very important to how things play out. Let's see how things go
I’m proud and those two set pieces a side battled hard to defend against the best side I’ve seen us play in a long long time. Limited them to no chances in open play. but we must now go on a winning run to keep any (little) hope of top 2 alive, but also so we go into the play offs with momentum haway the lads
need 18 points for top 4 but i reckon sodden Coventry await, rubbish 2nd half AGAIN done us and will keep doing us while this bloke is in charge.
