No wins in five before Christmas. 20 plus points dropped post. And in response to your abusive tone **** off silly ****
As this is a thread about the Aston Villa manager being linked with Leeds, what made you think the results I posted were anything to do with City. Though, the post Christmas demise is a Bruce speciality.
What sort of ****wit gives a **** about someone posting results of a team that, similarly, they don't support?
The way some talk you would thinking constantly winning promotion from this division is so easy. Yet time and time again relegated clubs struggle to get out of this league. Bruce got them to the final, a final where Fulham should have had man sent off in the first half, Villa should have had a penalty and should scored 2 or 3 goals. Which part of that is his fault? This is football there are no guarantees. Bruce is a very good manager that's why he has done it for 20 odd years in the top two leagues and us posters have done it for precisely none.
I remember Villa should have had a man sent off second half. Anyway Fulham simply performed better than them over the season and are generally considered a better team. I think most Aston Villa fans would even say that.
And I don't understand why, with the achievements we had underhim. Some silly ****s just wants to be entertained. When did we ever win 24 games in a season in division 2? Did it twice under him and got promoted as I recall. Even in those great, alleged, times in the 60's see how many games we won in a season in division 2. We've been promoted three times to the top division. Twicewith him. In a 114 ****ing years yet he didn't entertain or didn't have. A plan b or some such ****ing ****e.
Shades of City vs Massive FC.... Gulf in class was there to see and one side didn't turn up until much too late...
Steve Bruce has his faults, if he didn't he would be managing Man U or another big team. He was probably the best manager we could get at the time, and credit to Papa Allam and Peter Chapman for getting him on board, in fact he was probably better than we could have expected. He is certainly weak tactically, but makes up for it with his man management and general organisation of a club. He was the glue that kept the show going, and at the time Papa Allam allowed him to just get on with the job. Whether you liked his style of football or not, he gets results, and his track record speaks for itself.
Also you can add that most of the players he signed we’d have never have got! They signed because of him! I’ll always be grateful!
****ing hilarious - if people say **** like this long enough they start to believe it - they only player we signed that we would never have got if it wasn't for Brucie was his son
Ha ha, c'mon charon. I get your beef with him about the money he spent and his son, but do you really think that the likes of Huddlestone, Livermore, Robertson, McGregor etc would have come to City if they didn't have some respect for Bruce? His name, proven track record (as a player and manager), contacts and standing in the game would have attracted them, backed up by generous contracts of course. Do you really think someone of say, Nigel Adkins standing in the game, would have attracted any of the above players? I don't.
