  2. I hate going on the coach. Does anyone know how forward in advance i should order my train tickets if i'm going to a London away game, and where to get a rail card?

If you order train tickets even a month before it costs over a hundred quid each, but i've heard if you order the train tickets really early with a rail card you get it for like 30 quid each way per person?

Leazes is the best person to ask about this, he gets returns for like £20.
Going to get a railcard myself now since I'm finding it harder and harder to convince people that I'm 15. Really want to go to at least one London game this year, Fulham or Spurs been highest on my agenda :)

If you book as soon as the tickets come on sale, with a railcard, you can get a return for £15.90.

Trains. Obviously its helpful when Sky announce them quite early, so our London trips next year(one each month I think) will be easier to plan for as we usually get them quite early for next year. If not, then its a case of risking it, looking at the fixtures and guessing if we will be on TV or not.

  11. It's a bit risky. Any offer of a TV deal and Ashley will accept straight away and the fixture will be changed.

It's not up to Ashley, sky can change the fixtures whenever they want hence the payments.

  13. w/e the point is that the fixtures can change, so it's a risk.

Isn't it better to pay £20 for a return and miss a game than paying £80 odd for every ticket?

It's not really. Like I said, we get the SKY fixtures in enough time for it still to be cheap.

  16. Where do you get the rail cards from? Also, is it worth buying? I'll probably only be going to the Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs away games using the train.

You get a third off your rail fare. So if those three london returns cost you say £40 each, that's £120 - save a third and you only fork out £80 - one free effectively. If the rail card costs £20/£30 you'll save money. Train tickets will probably be more than that so you should save a fair bit.

I want one but I'm too old. Ageism is rife on the railways.

Yes well worth it, my one for the last year ran out 4 days ago, and my birthday was a month ago so got it booked as soon as I could. Bit gutted it runs out just before the Olympics are due to start.
