And is unlikely to go to Everton as he wants first team football.

But people haven't been reporting that Lonergan's already moved to Everton. Surely if he knew he already had interest from Everton (which he must have done) he wouldn't have basically signed for us?

 

DEAL STALLED BY PERSONAL TERMS

Preston agreed a fee on Monday with Leeds over the sale of Andy Lonergan but the deal is taking longer than expected to complete.
A fee was agreed on Monday with Lonergan in Leeds on Tuesday for the usual medical and agreement of personal terms.

It appears there have been some stumbling blocks over his personal terms which is no surprise considering the hefty wage Preston decided to pay him.

Phil Brown is hopeful that the deal can be resolved by the end of the week allowing him to bring Iain Turner into the club. If the deal falls through it is thought Everton and Coventry are also interested int he stopper.

good call. Money is always the issue with us. Once again how can we better the squad if we cant afford to pay for the better players. Somebody is full of **** in this club and i can't work out whether its Grayson/Harvey or that prick Bates.

According to the other site, Lonergan was a done deal on Monday with only medical & personal terms to be finalised. Time will tell. Let's hope if it is him, with Kisnorbo in front he can do a better job than Kasper with a partially fit Naylor in front of him.

 

To be fair boggers naylor was our best central defender last season and that says hell of alot when you have the tripe in bromby - bruce - collins (Was) And the sometimes lapse of O'brien. I even remember one of our clean sheets against watford was because of a Naylor goal and him at the back.

He wasnt class, he wasn't skillful, he was just a plain jane!

I think he's just made it up. Amazing how almost everyone apart from me thought he would be crap until suddenly there are rumours he might not be coming.

I cant believe how poor Prestons management where with arguably one of the best keepers ive seen in a Leeds shirt for a long long time, Preston fans clearly know **** all about football especially gay boy Alex

 

Safe to say he has been a very good signing for £75k plus add ons
