7 off the play offs vs Leeds, it's either game on or should we lose........ 10 off with a worse goal difference and I think we can all accept season more or less petering out. 1 point from the last 12 has really crashed this season, can we get it back on!? Hopefully have a couple of bodies back for this. Least Hyam was back for the Fulham game.
Stick by it being an absolute season defining game. Leeds will bring a good amount down. Lets hope for one or two more back... we still have Bart / Didsy at the time of writing.
Season defining in more ways than one, I was talking to a Town season ticket holder of several decades standing today and he told me that himself and many ST holders he knows who pay monthly are so pissed off that they will stop their payments before the next one is due if we don't improve. It's a sad statement to make re the state of ITFC, where is the drive, ambition, and enthusiasm which is supposed to come from the top?
This is a tough one to call Leeds are a bit like town some weeks they couldn't beat the ground with a stick I'm going with a 1-0 win
It's just another humdrum match in this nothing Season.Knowing how things have gone in the past we will probably scrape/scrap a win to take some of the pressure off Mick.
Ha ha FM! If only....any optimism is being slowly drained from me re ITFC. Dull, boring, 1-1 draw. Nothing season ebbs away... COYBs, lets be having ya!
I've been roped into going to this for reasons I still cannot explain to myself. Maybe it's a case of morbid curiosity, hoping to discover if we've improved since that bore draw I witnessed on Boxing Day. I'd take a 1-0 win, but I'm resigned to seeing both teams exchanging long punts for 70 minutes, until Leeds score twice in seven minutes and we lose 2-0. Boos from the North Stand, queues at the pub, and Mick carping on about how we played well in the post match press conference. Norwich will probably win and that's another fixture to tick off until the end of the season, when our 15th place finish is confirmed with mind numbing predictability.
Leeds have signed three players this week including an international defender so its going to be difficult, heart says Town head says Leeds and the spiral to continue, i cant even remember our last win.
Bart is injured.. Tommy is injured.. Webster is injured.. Ward is injured... Add that onto our already long list of injuries and I may well turn up on Saturday with my boots as we're not too far off roping in people off the streets to make up the numbers. Probably going to be most patched up side we've ever seen this weekend
Hopefully it will be like at the start of the season where we were thin on the ground and the team pulled together and battled for wins. Sometimes when you're up against it, you pull out the unexpected. I reckon it will be a hard fought 2-2 draw, with both teams going for it.
The cynic in me says Yes! Shame to see him go, another major plank in our torn up defense. His constant presence, amazing record of spectacular saves has kept us in and around the top 6-10 for 2 seasons. His unnecessary aimless kicking aside!
Well, that is quite a line-up, considering our woeful list of injuries. If they bring their best, most attacking spirit, ignore all Mick's instructions, go with the flow and turn up, and, critically, get the 1st one in, we could get a result! I am going 2-1...more in hope. COYBs
