Would you really be looking at the oppositions goalkeeper after you have scored? If they didn't spot what went on how can they know to reprimand him! Now I have seen the footage, I have to say there were at least eight fans that invaded the pitch, and as the thug ran back into the stands, no one attempted to stop him, indeed, the crowd seemed to serge forward as if more planned to run on the pitch. There may have been only one fan that took it so far as to attack a player, there were a decent number than had their minds set on invading the pitch and ruining the game. The majority of sensible Leeds fans may have condemned it, but let's not kid ourselves into believing that they all have.
At the end of the day, would it have been any other set of fans? Maybe Millwall, but I think they've matured over the past 2/3 years.
