Like I say, if the club can engage with the people of Leeds and the wider fanbase once again like they were doing in the '97-'03 kind of time, then yes. Some self-proclaimed boycotters like myself have already returned to home games when possible, and more will do so after the Dec 21st handover date. But it's the tacit boycotters who've slowly and quietly dropped away and got out of the habit who need to be won back. The people who don't officially categorize themselves as boycotting so Bates doesn't get their money, but don't attend any more because they're hacked off at his failed policies, the ticket pricing, the poor atmosphere, the broken promises and the underwhelming squad.

It's not as black and white as GFH taking over and Leeds getting 37,000 every week, sadly. Thank Ken Bates and Peter Ridsdale for that.

Yes, I did know that. They have a massive future too.

I like the fans and manager being demanding, but indeed do wish the Elland Road vibe was more supportive than critical. But that's something that will only come with the players and club officials reciprocating the loyalty the disenfranchised fanbase has been displaying for years without fair reward.

1919 was when Leeds United was founded. I don't give a **** which transitory companies have run the club since that time, nor what some FA bod/banking geek thinks of the club's continuation.

Yes. Three times top div champions. FA Cup centenary winners. League Cup winners. Fairs Cup winners twice. European Champions.

    But that's a one-sided rivalry unlike our mutually-felt one with Man U.

Like I say, that's a result of the **** we've been served for far too long now. Fans can only have so much patience before they realize they're being taken for mugs. You try being blindly faithful after watching us get humiliated by Preston, Watford, Nottingham Forest and Birmingham ****ting City.

I've read some ****e in my time but this ****ing idiot takes the biscuit.

What a load of old pony he spouts.

He's either mental or just really stupid.

Maybe he's both but he's also a boring **** who should **** off back to his own board.

Note. This is the type of response I wouldn't normally post but it's standard on the Leeds board so he can have it, the half witted ****.

Or relegation and lower league football as some people call it

Yes. Three times top div champions. FA Cup centenary winners. League Cup winners. Fairs Cup winners twice. European Champions.

As has been stated on here many times on here and elsewhere, Gary Sprake blew the whistle on the institutionalised cheating and bribery that was a feature of Leeds United in the 60s and 70s. This is documented fact by someone who was there in the dressing room. Leeds bought their opponents. FACT.

    But that's a one-sided rivalry unlike our mutually-felt one with Man U.

Is the Earth still flat round your way?

Most Leeds fans are mugs though. And most are fairweather fans as you yourself point out here.

To be honest, I could not give a fig about Leeds. No jealousy, envy, hate or anything. They are just a club that we have to play against. I don't look at their results, read their forum ( do they have one? ) and I would find it hard to name any of their players. I tend to only bother with clubs that are a real threat..

Yet another example of the halfwits living in a dimming past, surprised AB has even responded to clowns like this, for whatever reason some, and I do clarify some, of their supporters cant get their heads round the fact that they are an average championship team !

Humiliated by Birmingham and forest? Try being spanked 4-0 away at Shrewsbury town in the pissing rain on a cold Decembers day languishing at the foot of the 4th division, then try whinging about getting beaten by Birmingham and forest (who incidentally have achieved more than you, you never won the champions league did you?)

That's what footballs all about, following your team round the country enjoying the ups and downs and getting behind your team no matter who your players are or who you're playing. Not about pissing about in a mardy because your owners a **** and your players aren't up to standard.

    Spot on.

Boo ****ing hoo I don't like the chairman and some of our players aren't very good. Let's boycott the ground.

    <laugh>

Seriously though, you'd struggle to make it up.

This idiot Exodus is making a right bell end of himself.

History is all well and good, but the fact is that currently, Leeds United are not fit to lace our boots.

Ah, I see. So it's not a boycott afterall. It's another reason altogether. And if the new owners do engage in the way you say by visiting a few schools AND HANDING OUT FREE TICKETS then attendances may rise. Amazing.....Massive, in fact. Leeds are so large that how do you ever expect to recruit players who can cope with the pressure? It really is a wonder you're doing this well.

Leeds has a population 3 times larger than Hull. We average around 16k this season. Before the end of the season I'll expect crowds of 48,000 just to match the percentage of City fans attending and if you're indeed so darn big this will no doubt be exceeded.

    Did I miss that one?

Well considering we have won the grand total of NOWT and a decade ago wouldve dreamed of playing the likes of "Preston, Watford, Nottingham Forest and Birmingham ****ting City" then surely you consider Hull City fans the most loyal in the country. Thanks for that <ok>

And that'll be two times European champions Nottm Forest will it....?

Wasting your time with this muppet BCC.

His theories and notions on Leeds imminent rise to European dominance Arthur C Clarke would struggle to come up with.

    He's a deluded simpleton.

Look through this thread and have a think about who turns it into a pissing contest. I've not known another set of fans that can match you in the stakes of so desperately trying to annoy another set of fans. Mike: You might also like to see who tends to turn things towards Revie and Bremner, you lot seem more obsessed about them than us.

Bruce wasn't great for us to put it lightly and I agree with Kissa, our current defence is the best we've had in a while and Bruce would be 5th choice based on how he played for us. Maybe he was unlucky with who he was playing alongside, maybe it just didn't work out, and if he's doing well for you then fair enough, but I certainly wouldn't take him over anyone we have in CB at the moment.
