Please god just not Neil Lennon. I can’t even watch or listen to him. What a bundle of hate and spite.

i'm guessing with KLD's family background in French football our next manager could well come from there.

Peterborough fans didn't like him either. As bland as they come. A resounding no from me.

I definitely think the new stats analysis approach has contributed massively to the decisiveness of this.

Probably ran predictions on his whole time here and came up short again so why not change tact and at least try and save the season.

    I love it personally

I'm with you on this, I want an exciting appointment to keep the plan moving forward. Not something unimaginative like Warnock or Allardyce that will set the plan backwards. Fortunately, I don't think KLD will take this option.

Might not be such a bad thing at the moment, pick the best team, don't overload them with info or change formation necessarily and send them out there fired up.

I believe we've got the quality to be going up automatically and as long as everyone knows their job, tactics aren't especially complicated at this level.

I suspect your Everton mates are underselling him a bit, doubt they see much if any firsthand of what goes on behind the scenes and he seems well thought of by other managers.

I've been having a look round Twitter and seen some interesting names suggested.

I think we need a name to lift the place. Not saying Keane, but a Keane type who will get them puffing out their chests and playing for the shirt. Not sure any of those names do it for me,,,

Whoever we appoint needs to be someone who can take us on next season as well. Don’t want a Warnock appointment because you know where inevitably that will lead. Another sacking and off we go again. I’ve absolutely no idea who they will bring in but it really is a massive decision not just for now but the future also. Priority has to be getting out of this league however we do it automatically or play offs but a Warnock type manager won’t take us any further and the search will start again. Big appointment needed.

The point of a system like ours is that the manager/head coach is picked because of his suitability for the system. It doesn't matter where they come from. I'd be gutted if it was someone like Keane because it would tear up all the hard work that's been done to modernise things. The best 'name' for us that anyone's mentioned so far is Zenden.

Is that for the players or the fans? I would like to think that professional footballers don't need a "name" to inspire them.

We do, a name who has done it at the highest level who would command the respect that it appears LJ didn’t by all accounts. We have tried with lower league managers and it just doesn’t work because the job is too big for them, the pressure is too great and the expectations are too high. It’s one thing being promoted from the league it’s another being expected to be promoted from the league as a minimum achievement anything else being seen as an abject failure.

What’s Wenger doing at the moment? I am sure he would come here and sort us out if asked nicely.

What about the fella that was at wolves Nuno didn’t work out for him at spurs which I never thought it would but he was canny at wolves playing nice football. Just a name into the hat. Might be well above what we can get but it’s a thought.

Bit of both. I think the fans would be lifted by us winning the next 5 games but rightly or wrongly footballers still need inspiration - to 99% of them, pulling on the shirt is their job

Its a big appointment this one, I think. I think KLD showed some minerals by sacking Johnson because he could have just said "no, the plan, the plan" and used it as an excuse to not make the big decision. I hope he does the same over the appointment. I'm pretty hopeful he will.

Don’t want Warnock at all. Wouldn’t want Allardyce meddling in transfers but I bet he’d get us up this year and give us better options next.
