I liked Reid a lot but he has gone to pastures anew, Matty is our man now and has earned his chance and as a previous poster said we should play our strongest team, 3 wins on the trot and Taylor was part of it, he should play, unless LJ has one of his mad moments.
I may be wrong, but I do t think it’s QUITE as simple as playing the same 11 which won the last game. Each player has different attributes which need to be taken into account, as do the attributes of the opposition. So do things like yellow cards, illnesses and niggling injuries. Also, sometimes 2 or 3 average players can ‘click’ and get into a formidable unit, which 2 or 3 brilliant individuals can’t. Clearly, the players which won the last game have an advantage over their counterparts on the bench, but sometimes it’s necessary to make a change - even if to keep the opposition guessing. Taylor has done well so far and long may that continue, but what I’m trying to say is that, for me, if he doesn’t start vs Sheff U then it doesn’t indicate to me that LJ thinks he’s crap. It just means that for that particular job there are more appropriate choices.
But we are playing quick high pressing football on the deck, lovely too watch and long may it continue.
Quote from LJ: “It’s very difficult at the moment. You definitely have sleepless nights but they’re always good when they’re the positive sleepless nights. “You want everyone to play, you have to hold a big squad in the Championship - we saw that last year with nine injuries plus a cup run. “You need a big squad and you need to trust them. We’ve got three games coming up on the spin so expect some rotation, it’s horses for courses.” ...Lovely for fans - he can pick whatever side and if we win we can be quietly grateful, but if we lose (or even draw) we can say he got it wrong by not picking whoever.
Well Wiz LJ had one of his mad moments, although we actually scored when MT was on the pitch, and Fammy wasn't.
We only started playing high pressing football when the three subs came on. Fammy looked unfit slow too the ball. Nearly bit LJ on the ass.never tinker with a winning side.
AFTER READING THE "REPORT" Lee and the back room are doing more than we think ! to line up like did today was interesting.. and after the event you can see the logic shut them out for 60 mins then change the stratedgy ! OK THE GOAL WAS LATE BUT THEN less time for them to score one or more back! when a game is tight defensive by one of them it starts to look like an away point is a good result... usually around 75 mins or so? to up the game with 30 to go that was brave! it was like a new kick off! … for both sides!
