I AM going to say Catts is the answer to our problems.
He would be the first name on my team sheet.
Totally unappreciated by many, but he is one of the best defensive midfielders I have seen at SAFC.
A lot of the daft fouls he has given away have been last ditch efforts when those around him haven't done their job and Catts has took one for the team.
As long as he is fit he should play.
Stick a more cultured midfielder in front of him and we are getting the spine of the team sorted.

Some may think I'm daft but I always wanted us to drop Kenwyn back to the point of a midfield diamond.
We totally wasted his talent as just a target for lump balls.

He had a canny touch for a big lad and could pick out good passes just ask Bent.
Wasn't he originally a midfielder converted to centre forward?

I always wanted Kenny J playing CB myself. He was originally a CB I do believe. The way he defended set pieces was world class.

He used to be a centre half mate. I agree he could pick out a canny pass like!

I was there for that game, no way should he of been sent off, he was running forward with the ball and then slid to keep the ball against a tackling player

the player then rolled around like he had been shot by a .50 cal sniper bullet and then the ref just thought Cattermole…Reputation…Send him off

was an utter disgrace his sending off

This is what I'm saying about his reputation, it'll always be there so he will be sent on during the season, people need to accept this. His injuries are a worry though

I will never ever accept substandard officiating. They get a professional wage now.

The problem IS that it will continue to happen, as much as it infuriates me, Until full camera technology is implemented into the game we won't see an improvement, even then it won't be perfect

What was the last game he played?
    How long ago was that?
What is his longest run in the side?

NOT the answer. I like him but he only ever plays a handful of games every season.

Im not saying he is the answer, im saying he should be part of our squad and if he was allowed to go it would be stupid

last played 9th Feb i think,

longest run i have no idea, think it was under MON when he took over, he played the same team for a long while i think before injuries and suspensions

This, if you watch Cattermole closely he commands the centre circle irrespective of the oppositions reputation, he comes out of the centre to break play then has the discipline to get back in position when he gives the ball to a team mate.

I have reservations about his discipline and injury record but he is a quality player doing the job he does and allows the more creative around him to do their job.

His commitment is outstanding and he is the enforcer type of player most successful sides have.

Sorry mate but I missed your post, the section in bold is my thoughts exactly about Cattermole.

Not sure about Kenny at centre back mind Bri, I bet he went missing a lot when he played there. I loved him when he was here and thought that his Caribbean attitude masked some of the graft he got through.
