    Yes, you're right.

He's big and ugly enough to look after himself. Doesn't need me feeling sorry for him.

Sandgaard will stick to his word. Unless Bowyer wants to jack it in, he'll be with us in August.

Bow hasn't got everything right, but TS knows his football and if he is going to have a change of manager he will do it at the right time, not just after a transfer window, and with 2 proper defenders about to return to the team. I'd be surprised if he hasn't had a few private doubts about Bowyer, and whether or not there is a change in manager in the summer will depend on how we finish the season.

I think if we finish outside the play offs Bowyer will go of his own volition.

If you're correct then more's the pity that the fans can't be there to support him, as I'm sure they would.

    I agree.

At the very least he'll offer TS his resignation, as a point of honour.
And although TS may not wish to accept it, just the news that it's been offered (assuming it gets out) will mean the resignation will have to be accepted.
Little is thought of personal honour these days.
An offer to resign is just seen as weakness, not what a decent person does because they have conviction that it is the right thing to do.

Still, we're not there yet - despite me writing off the season yesterday evening.
I was feeling pretty low. Feel much better now :emoticon-0157-sun:

This was just posted by Angeldust on ITTV:

    Heard on good Authority
Big strain between Bowyer and Roddy.
Relationship started off ok but has got progressively worse.
Roddy has some big ideas and alternative methods for training and play style that Bowyer doesn't agree with.
Roddy sees Bowyers tactics and match preparation as archaic
TS speaks to Roddy a lot more than he does Bowyer.
Roddy has made it clear that he wants to pull the trigger. TS prefers to hold off but time is nearly up.
GR doesn't see Bowyer as the future of the club if it wants to meet TS ambition.

I know Angeldust has a patchy reputation when it comes to take-overs of the Club.
But this post is rather more than just a cryptic remark.

If this news is true it changes everything for me.
A conflict between Lee Bowyer and Ged Roddy is a grave development.
    We cannot have it.

And it cannot be allowed to harm the Club more than it already has.
Roddy is going nowhere - so this is only going to end one way.

Perhaps Thomas Sandgaard was hoping to avoid an acrimonious parting with Lee Bowyer.
But that may just not be possible.

I wanted things to work out for Bowyer.

But it's worth bearing in mind that many new owners coming into a Club ditch the incumbent manager simply because they have a plan for the future direction of the Club, and the previous owner's last manager is not part of that plan.

Thomas Sandgaard has been patient and respectful towards LB above and beyond the call of duty - perhaps out of respect for the feelings of Charlton supporters.
But something was badly wrong yesterday, and despite the hopes of fans who didn't want Bowyer's head on a platter, there are no signs of improvement.

Very sadly, I think now in the light of this news about LB & GR, that it's time for Bowyer to go.

    Not at all.
When I did not know the reason for Bowyer struggling this season, I was all for giving him every chance.

But if it is true that Bowyer and Roddy are at loggerheads, that changes everything.
Lee Bowyer cannot win such a conflict.
And the longer it goes on, the more the Club is harmed.
Sandgaard and Roddy are the future of CAFC. If LB won't accept the change of direction, he should leave.

Something WAS badly wrong yesterday, and Bowyer's post-match interview with Scott Minto was painful to watch. some of our attempts to play the ball out from the back were jaw-droppingly feeble. Even Famewo, who played well, started giving the ball away. No-one would be more aware than Lee Bowyer of how poor we were, and he didn't try to defend our performance. It's desperately sad, really, after the way Bowyer rejuvenated the club. I only broke my boycott because of Bowyer, and it wasn't only the team spirit and performances that he engendered, it was the understated way he conducted himself, in the tradition of Curbs and Lennie. So it came as a shock when he started naming and shaming players, first Albie, then Williams then Maddison, and however much Maddison deserved it it should have been kept inhouse. It never ends well when a manager does that, and although he has stopped doing it, that to me was a significant phase in our decline. It will take a remarkable turnaround for LLB to get us back on track, but I hope he does, because if he is sacked as a failure it will be a sad day.

It was much more fun having a new manager every 3 months.

Angel dust was wrong on almost every part of the Takeover, HE IS A FAKE. But to me after watching the match and his interview, Bowyer looks a broken man. If I were Sandgaard I would start planning for next season NOW. If he thinks that Bowyer is NOT the right man to lead us the time for a parting of the ways is NOW. It is looking very unlikely that we will make the play offs this season.
