Working and living in Bournemouth, I heard an interesting load of tosh today. This was backed up by looking on vital football forums for Bompey.

Apparently, Lee Barnard is being linked with a permanent move there.

Just can't see it - new contract and playing for the premier south coast team....I think the Russian money has gone to their heads!

Just thought I would post the rumour for us all to laugh at!!

Not so sure..with Lee coming in and, possibly, Hooper. Even if we don't get Hooper, Saints are looking for another striker. Wouldn't be surprised to see Barney leave in the summer...feel sorry for him that injury robbed him of his chance.

I am not knocking Barney as I love his effort, but ignoring the injuries and the court case, I wouldn't be surprised to see him go. I hope I am proved wrong, but I just don't see him as a top Championship or Premier League player.
