Wycombe have just signed him from you guys, does anyone know anything about him. I know he's a youth player, but has anyone on this forum seen him in any youth matches and could tell us about him, as it's difficult to find anything elsewhere.

Your manager's first choice was our Dean Parrett who he had worked with at QPR and also briefly, at Aldershot. I guess this was too big a drop for Parrett, so in Lee Angol, you've got a similar type player but with less experience. He's an attacking midfielder whose natural game is to get forward as often as possible. An energetic player but one who doesn't have that necessary finesse in the final third. No disrespect, but Wycombe is probably his natural level at this stage in his career.

No disrespect taken, if he can improve in the final third it sounds like he could be a decent signing for us for the future. Thanks for the feedback, it will be interesting to see how he gets on.

  5. Are you sure you don't want Jenas as well?

Is it a permanent deal or a loan?

More importantly, you've also made the transfer of The Ginger Pele permanent! <diva>

We've got him on a permanent deal, seems like you guys released him. Also, liking the appreciation of the 'Ginger Pele', though he looks about 5 times faster in that video than he is now. Still, should be a good signing.

I did see a couple of Wycombe games last season and what I thought you needed was a couple of defenders who can actually defend. Doherty will certainly bring loads of experience although not a great deal of pace !!

Incidentally, in the two games I saw, your goalkeeper Bull, was absolutely outstanding on both occasions.

Good luck for the new season <ok>

  12. Never heard of Lee Angol.

He looks 12 years old in that photo.
