Ledley King - model professional Started by Lotak‎, 13/02/2012 10:16 PM Just 14 days ago this was posted.
He's out of contract at the end of the season, so terminating it after this season would be impossible.
While he was pretty bad and not his usual self, I think you have to look at the whole picture. He was up against the best forward and maybe even best player in the league and his team got swamped in midfield. They have Caulker for the future but he is young especially to play at CB for a top 6 club. Maybe they do need a new CB that could one day play alongside Caulker. I never rated Dawson and Gallas will do well to get a new contract at Spurs.
Kaboul had a bad game against Arsenal but he had been extremely solid this season and in my opinion our 2nd best centre back after Ledley and he should be the main centre back next season with Caulker/Dawson alongside him.
Rosicky. Also, you are aware that Ledley King has played more league games than Thomas Vermaelen this season, aren't you? Quoting the drivel Pompey and West Ham fans were throwing our way a few seasons back tends to make you sound like a moron. Just letting you know that. The best part of £42m of that came from selling Fabregas and Nasri, without signing a replacement. If you really want to brag about profits, why not sell your entire 25-man squad, then loan in Barnet's? You'll be rolling in it then. Because you've done a fine job of naming a list of them so far.
Well this got off topic. If you resign ledley it will be the biggest mistake you ever made. You wont get 30 games out of him after this season. Mark my words.
Fair enough. Obviously we didn't know that you are Ledley's doctor and as such had no idea that this was the case.
Its obvious mate. I am in shock at the denial in this thread. Have you seen him recently? He can hardly move. And now he is well into his 30's its only going to get worse from here.
As has been pointed out to you, he's played more than Vermaelen this season and aside from one bad game on Sunday he has an excellent record for us this season and has been better than any of the rest of our defenders(or yours for that matter). Earlier you seemed sure that we'd offer King a 5 year deal and conceded that we should "maybe" give him a year extension, now you're sure that we'd mad to give him a new contract. Given that you can't even get your story straight I don't think we need to take your opinion very seriously.
Statistics can be misleading mate. King is forcing his body to play to try and get that new contract. Money talks. The last 4/5 times I have seen him the lad can hardly move.
now wonder we laugh at goon's with the Rubbish your spouting, why do you care anyway as you hate us with a passion as you admitted,he's a better defender than any you have
