i'm not really sure why he is trying to point score off my comment, I would have thought for any level headed person it was a straight forward enough context;

It was probably a bit more than the context i put it in ie not covering face, speaking ill of IS possibly.
However, for some odd reason, because i didn't call them barbaric it came across that my comment was bias. I don't see why i need to apply the words 'barbaric' to the sentence i used, I would have thought any intelligent person would have realised, that in refugee camps, whether they be run by the Kurds or the French in Calais, they are hostile environments that can be subject to lawlessness. After all the communities within the camps, do not like interference from soldiers, even if those enforcing order are trying to do so on their own land.
But if it makes the white middle aged men happy, I will class those resorting to violence in refugee camps,as barbaric.
Just playing devil's advocate here and not speaking for him but you have taken a contrary narrative over this Begum case insisting that the white Jihadists don't get treated as badly (Jack you even started a thread about him) and that the only reason everyone hates Begum is because of her religeon and skin colour .
The people that are most likely to murder her share her religeon and skin colour and that appears to be getting glossed over.
Brown people are more violent than others and Muslims even more so if you crunch the numbers .

In regards to the term 'white.' I believe unconscious bias was in play in Begum's case, I also question Sajid Javid's part in this, let's not forget unconscious bias does not confine itself to particular traits.
So what unconscious bias did i think was in play; Religion, colour of skin and dress wear. Why, well Jack Lett's came along and helped answer that question, although he is a British Muslim convert.
We did not see the same media reaction to Lett's as we did to Begum in denouncing her, fair enough she brought it on herself, but the defence of some on here was that Lett's was in a Kurdish prison, and that's about as bad has things can get. Again not recognising the dangers of a refugee camp, hence why people try to escape them. So imho unconscious bias came into play again, to try to demonstrate that Lett's had it worse, although he wasn't looking after a one week old baby in those conditions
A lot of people claimed Begum didn't do enough to denounce the situation she put herself in. Yet as i knew before it was even reported, she would be subject to death threats if she even entered that type of conversation, albeit her life is at risk now anyway, just for the little she did say, as well has other reasons of course.

Yes there is an unconscious bias towards Muslim terrorists because they are the ones doing most of it .
