As I suspected, The Fail quotes the president of Internacional as claiming that we have bid £10.5mm for Damiao. This has reportedly been rejected as they want around £17mm.
The Times claims further that we have improved our bid to £13.2mm.
The Guy is 21, has one cap for Brazil. He is highly rated, though. Reportedly, there is interest from Barca and the Goons, amongst others.
He is a mate of Sandro, and we, of course, have the relationship with Internacional. So, if the guy really is that good, fingers crossed.

Knowing nothing about him apart from what I've read in stories linking us to him, he sounds great!

Apparrently he wouldn't be joining 'til January if we did get him. Ideally we could use Gio as a make weight in the deal, two birds one stone.

When I see comments like his though, it really makes me think hes trying to get offers from elsewhere in for the lad aswell isnt he. Saying how much we've bid, how much he wants, he should just put a for sale sign on the lad.

I think that he already has, MH.
He's basically said that they won't be able to keep hold of him, so he's trying to get as much as possible.
Fair enough, really.

Yeh i believe this Leandro will be a spurs player ( Hopefully) and let's praye he becomes a success like Sandro has. We need to get in an experienced striker short term though. Be over the moon with Drogba even if he is 33

Drogba at 33 years old screams at me like the kind of signing Galatasary would make not THFC. Would prefer it if we bring some fresh talent into this league not a nearly has-been. Getting Postiga mk II has to be a worry though.

Drogba has everything you need to be successful in the Premiership, even at 33. I'd be delighted if we got him but I still can't see it happening.

TBH, I thought WY's post was more about Drogba. I thought it was a little strange on this old thread.

Whatever happened to Leandro, anyway? I assume he's still in Brazil.

He moved to Santos about a year ago, had a fairly **** 12 months and then joined Cruzeiro on loan about 3 weeks ago.
Bullet dodged, I think.
