Yes I have one of these. I'm there now.
I thought I’d post Saturday's comp a bit early, to give people a chance to do a bit of homework if they so wish. And to hopefully get a few more to enter. As we had a few tied scores last week, I toyed with the idea of making it a points comp, but seeing that the combined 65 tips turned a profit, (a small one) I think it’s best to keep the tote as a benchmark. Hopefully it will keep people aiming at some nice priced horses. If some scores are tied, I’ll split them with a points system. 30,20,10. I think it best for the moment to keep the Leagues at 7. L 2 has only 6 at the moment, but if others join, only 2 will drop, but 3 will come up from L3 to make it 7 in the two top Leagues.

2 to be relegated.
2 for promotion.
5 single win bets.
All tips in before the first race of the day.
Any new comers will go into League 3.
NR to fav, if equal fav, then lowest number.

Cyc, you haven't included me by the looks of it. Just a minor suggestion re substituting NRs. Might be better to go for the lower/lowest race card No in the event of joint/co favs; just in case the race is at level weights.
 
You only have to post your tips to get a run Ron. Those names mentioned above, are those who lined up last week, so they belong in the Leagues they finished in. All new comers will start in League 3.

The idea of the lower card number is a good one mate. We'll use it. If you come across any other ideas let me know. <cheers>
 
and it is just Saturdays, right? I can't commit to an every day thing if that was the case!

Of course. I think it's called League 3. <laugh>

PS If all of the newbies play, and nobody new joins, then you only have to finish in the top three of five, to move to league 2. If a **** load more new comers enter, then you'll have your work cut out.
 
If I go through the card can I get instant top flight status? :)

I can't find the original post Cyc - please remind us of the scoring?
