Unless you have a Court Order I will not comment on the number or location of my property portfolio ....
19th April update; Peterborough have self-destructed - three defeats in a row and their next game is away at Shrewsbury. Posh are virtually out of the race for 6th place. Scunthorpe, Portsmouth and Charlton are the three main contenders now, assuming Plymouth do re-take 5th place when they have played their games in hand.
We had games in hand, AFC Wombles away and a misfiring Scunny at home ..... we lost em both ! There is no such thing as a free lunch ..... unless you are a MP of course.
21st April update; The play-off dream is still alive Lee Bowyer and his men are giving it everything they have. Blackburn Rovers at the Valley was always a massive game - now it could define our future for years to come. Win on Saturday at the Valley and Charlton Athletic will almost certainly be three play-off matches away from a return to the Championship. I'm appealing to all Charlton fans; Please come to the Valley next Saturday and help Lee Bowyer and his players as much as we can by getting right behind them for 90 minutes. Let us put the politics to one side for a day and give our caretaker manager all the support we can give.
If there's not a takeover at our club, we've already been told there's no cash for next season. We could be struggling again, or if there's a takeover and a few quid invested, I'd fancy us to bounce straight back.
When we were relegated from the Championship we had the richest owner we have ever had .... he refused to invest
Just to clarify - I was not quoting SR, though reading my post back I'll confess it does sound a bit like him. I don't copy & paste posts from other members on other forums these days. Occasionally a long time ago I might have done it a few times, but not now. It can cause exactly the kind of misunderstanding that has just occurred. And my intent was not to offend anybody with my plea for fans to come to the Valley next Saturday. I do understand how strongly some fellow Charlton fans feel about the situation with Duchatelet - I used to feel that way myself, for a long time. I'm not trying to tell anybody what to do. If other fans feel they still cannot attend because of their own beliefs / convictions then I respect that. Lee Bowyer has almost pulled off a miracle by putting the team in this position with just two games to go. I know we fans can have very little influence over the result next weekend, but just as our travelling supporters did all they could to cheer the Addicks on today, so we can cheer them over this next massive hurdle in the last home game of the season. Setting aside all of the complexities of the take-over situation, I have to believe that the vast majority of our fans want to see Charlton back in the Championship again. We have a chance now because of Lee Bowyer. Surely he would want as many home fans as possible to get behind the lads in person on Saturday.
